NOT HAPPY. The unit I recieved was NOT in a sealed box. The sealing tape had bern cut on both sides. This obviously was someone elses return. I paid good money for a NEW unit.
It's ok as a trackball, but it comes with a magnetic rubber base that has a slot for the metal base plate for the trackball, forming a raised platform, but then the trackball itself has an indentation for the metal plate, and it doesn't overlap well with the rubber base. It gives me an off kilter feeling. Also, there was NO owner's manual with this. It had a pamphlet about handling the battery and that's it. Took me a week before I discovered the trackball could separate from the metal plate. The magnetism is that powerful! Not the sharpest design from Logitech, and I've been buying Logitech trackball products for decades!
I like the new features on this mouse. Very robust and hardly moves, and I like the feature of an additional wrist plate, which is at the right angle for my hand to make mouse movements. Most of all, I don't have to make many wrist movements to move the mouse back and forth, which made my hand more uncomfortable after long use of the mouse.
Best ball mouse ever! Built like a tank, reliable, dual device, excellent ergonomic design and nothing not to like. Great for travel and just wish mine came with travel case for price. Needs a location for dongle bult in... Not sure why there is none.
This is a great concept, unfortunately for me it is too big for my hand, so I had to return it. I hope you will consider developing this design in a more petite size. I highly recommend it for a larger size hand though.
I just upgraded to this from the old original one. Cannot say enough about how efficient, smooth, and just downright sexy this thing is! -K. Dale Haynie (session musician/producer - Nashville)
if you have a TFCC injury and work on a computer all day, this is an absolute must to allow your wrist to heal while still needing to use a mouse.
A nice update, continuing the tradition of the Logitech trackballs. For those that prefer a trackball or really don't have room for a mouse, this is your best choice!
My brother suggested this mouse so I could get better results using a stationary mouse! It took me a little getting used to it (I'm old) but once I got the hang of it, I love it!
The right and left click buttons are far too soft. They lack any tactile feedback and the press is short and bottoms out quickly. The rest of the buttons have a snappy feel which is why I do not understand why they went this direction.
