[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had two other premium low profile keyboards that were ok but this one blows them out of the water. Being able to switch to different devices with a key press is much more useful than you'd think. Good weight and you know it's solid when you press your first key.
The MX Mechanical is incredibly comfortable and precise to type on, with a premium feel that's obvious right away. I chose the clicky version and it is gloriously loud and satisfying, exactly what I wanted. It makes typing feel fun again and I genuinely look forward to using it every day—even if everyone else in my house hears it too.
The Logitech MX Mechanical Wireless Illuminated Performance Keyboard is basically the sports car of keyboards — sleek, powerful, and ridiculously satisfying to drive (…type on). From the first click, I knew this wasn't just another keyboard. The low-profile mechanical switches feel crisp without being obnoxiously loud — like they whisper, “I'm productive,” instead of shouting it across the room. The tactile feedback is chef's kiss. My typing speed somehow leveled up overnight, and long work sessions don't leave my fingers feeling like they ran a marathon. The smart backlighting is low-key magic. It lights up when your hands get close like it's excited to see you, then adjusts automatically so you're not blinded during late-night productivity sprints. Small detail, huge quality-of-life win. Switching between devices is seamless. One tap and I'm bouncing from my laptop to my desktop like some kind of multitasking ninja. The wireless connection is rock solid, battery life feels endless, and the build quality? Premium. Solid. “I mean business.” If you want a keyboard that makes work feel smoother, faster, and just a little more fun, this is it. Honestly, it's the first keyboard I've owned that makes me look for excuses to type. 10/10. Would absolutely click again.
Full size keyboard with a full size 0. More important than you might think. I'm using the keyboard more than a mouse of late and the MX Mechanical feel just right.
I love the click! This is the best feeling keybooard I have used. I am impressed with how advanced Logitech makes simple things like keyboards and mice. I recently purchased an MX Master 4 mouse as well and absolutely love it.
This keyboard has helped a great deal because it's easier to type on it (I have Essential Tremor in L&R hands) than on the typical desktop or laptop or iPad keyboard. I can feel the individual keys more easily and this diminishes the frustration level inherent with Essential Tremor. Side note - this is more like using the electric typewriters I learned on and used in different jobs and I have sorely missed the luxury of those "old" keyboards until learning about mechanical keyboards. Last comment: I really appreciate this keyboard - it's been a great help in so many ways.
I've been a devoted Logitech owner and user for many, many years now and I've been through at least a dozen Logitech Keyboards and Mice. Recently I upgraded from the G613 Mechanical and MX Master 3 mouse to the MX Mechanical and MX Master 4 and I couldn't be more pleased. I opted for the louder keys and so glad I did. The feedback is positive and enjoyable while being a precise and clicky keyboard. The functionality is second to none with both the Keyboard and Mouse upgrades. If you're on the fence about either, don't be. They are both Awesome Upgrades and should provide years of reliable service. There are no substitutes when it comes to my gear, and Logitech always always delivers. Thank you Logitech, for always providing the industry standard and beyond. Happy Typing! Zip~
The MX Mechanical keyboards works great and has an audible click that makes it very easy to type on, especially for those, like me, who appreciate the auditory feedback from a mechanical keyboard.
Product is adequate and works well for the purpose, but be advised you're going to be incessantly hounded to review it, which makes it hardly worth the purchase price for that headache. It's like trying to enjoy chocolate milk but being unable to take the spoon out so you gouge your eye every sip.
The lack of ability to change the duration on the backlight time-out is infuriating. They say it's to extend battery life. I don't care if I have to charge the thing every night. I work in a dark room. The keyboard backlight turning off after 5 seconds is ridiculous. Give us ability to set the timeout in the Logi Options + App and stop treating me like a child that can't understand the concept of battery life. Great keyboard other than that.
