The stair treads look exactly like the photo. Installation is a bit of a learn-as-you-go process. If you try pulling the plastic tab from the back middle to expose the adhesive, it tends to tear and leave small pieces behind that are difficult to remove. Instead, start by lifting the plastic at the edges to loosen it. Then slowly peel it back from both sides. Once it's partially removed, fold it along the long edge and pull downward—like creasing paper before tearing it with care. This method removes the backing cleanly and makes installation much easier.

These stair treads are honestly a great buy! The glue backing is strong, and they even come with extra strong tape which helps keep everything securely in place without any slipping or shifting. Glue backing comes with thin covering which you remove before putting on stairs. Once applied, they stay put really well, which is perfect for kids, elders, and pets. The carpet itself is soft, comfortable underfoot, and feels like really good quality. It also adds a nice look to the stairs while making them much safer. Definitely worth it!

These could be used in just about any decor. The colors are sharp and would match many decoration choices. I got these for our front steps onto the porch. While not using them for normal stairs, these actually fit the steps very well. The security of knowing these steps will no longer be slippery when wet and with 15 in an order, I can replace them over the years as they wear down. I will be gently scouring the steps, applying a glue and using the slight adhesive on the treads to help hold them in place. I also have metal step guides to keep them in place. The rubber bottom will keep them in place and the deck steps easy to walk on without worry. These should be relatively easy maintenance to keep clean with a hose and scrub brush.

For the price… This was a for the price… This was an excellent purchase. It was better than I expected. Would recommend it you working to bring it down should be drink water.

I have been looking for stair carpet treads as I have a couple of older dogs who have some issues. These were inexpensive, they look and feel nice, were easy to install. The test will be time - I'm not sure how long they will last. The big positive is that the dogs are happy!!

I am really happy with these! Once they are laid down, they look beautiful and are comfortably soft to walk on, even with bare feet on the stairs. The only real issue i had was the plastic backing, which was a struggle to peel off; it took me about 10 minutes just to get the first piece started, and I eventually needed my daughter's help to finish the rest. ( Hence the four stars) However, the actual installation was a breeze because they fit my stairs perfectly without any cutting or trimming required. I was initially worried about the pattern, but the abstract lines were very easy to align, creating a seamless look. The stickiness on the back is excellent, and while it is very convenient that they include an extra roll of double-sided carpet tape, I haven't had any issues with them coming up. Maintenance is also simple since they are very easy to vacuum with a regular hand-vac. Best of all, there was absolutely no odor when I opened the package. These are a fantastic choice for a home project, as long as you have a little patience (or a helper) for the backing!

These look really good but I’m curious how they will hold up. The back has a type of glue/tape on them that is not sticky enough to really adhere to the stairs so they may not last long as they are already peeling up at the edges/middle. But they look good for now!

Very elegant looking. The double-sided tape is a bit difficult to work with. I'd like matching landing rugs to carry the elegance beyond the stairs. I don't see any on the site I found the tread pieces on.

I ordered green/yellow. There isn't a speck of green anywhere on these. I hate grey...and that's what these are! Grey! Not green. And the parts that are supposed to be yellow are gold and rust. Does not match my decor at all. I bought them in advance of a new house build so didn't open them until recently. Wishing I could return!

the colors and patterns were not consistent. it looked like they were imprinted low ink cartridges. None of them were alike. all edges were blotchy and faded or not printed at all. We replaced with a solid color tread and it looks so much better. overall quality is very low .
