I tried "Love to hate me", "So Over it" and "What Happens in Vegas". These sets are great for the eye shadow application challenged like myself. The way the colors are lined up in the quad makes it easy to guide you where to apply the color to your eye lids. I have fair skin so "Love to hate me" was a bit dark and was not flattering on my skin tone, but "So over it" looked great and "what happens in Vegas" is fun for an evening look. The make-up stays in place and lasts all day.
I got this in Army Brat and I love it. All 4 colors are shimmery and neutral. There is a light color for the brow bone, a gold for the lid, a brown for the crease and a really dark green for lining. The dark green has specks of gold, its SO pretty. The consistency is nice and it stays on all day. Overall I'm really impressed with this set!
I got the Snooze Addict. I was able to play around with the color pallet to make a soft day time look and a dramatic night time look. The back of the package shows you how to brighten, contour, and define your eyes using the four colors...that was helpful! The shadow lasted and had tint of shimmers. The last two colors on the pallet are slightly lighter than the image.
My favorite eyeshadows...very natural. Gorgeous effects can be created whether you want dramatic or basic day makeup. Great for travel because it also has shades that work well for eyebrows too.
Okay so first I just want to say the color for Cupa Joe is not the what is shown in the picture. Cupa Joe is an all matte quad, mainly brown shades and one brow bone color. And I must say I'm in love with colors. I haven't switched them yet but the colors look great. I do wish the had more matte shadows but I love all the different shadows they have to offer.
Got it for wife, she loves L'Oreal products and has collection of it. She found it easier to apply. Got two color "Shopping Spree" and "Cookies & Cream" and absolutely loved the colors.
I picked up "Because I am Worth it" and "Cup-a-Joe because I typically wear neutral browns. The Cup-a-Joe is matte which I love and the Because I am Worth It is shimmery, but in the same color family. The value is great and the staying power was good. I paired it on top of an eye shadow primer and for the most part the matte shadow stayed on, but the the Because I'm Worth It was shimmery, I found it caked still in my creases. I like the easy step-by-step of where to apply the color and I even just used one or two of the colors for a day time look. Its small enough to bring with you & great way to add some drama to your eyes if you are heading out after work. I would love to see better applicators for on the go use, but overall felt the product met my expectations.
I got a few of these in different colors because I couldn't decide which palette I would like best. I have Army Brat and So Over It, which are pretty close to each other, but Army Brat is more green than brown (see photos). I also have Sultry Seductress, which is a good one for evenings out. The main colors that you're supposed to use to cover your eyelids (marked #1 on the back) don't seem to go on evenly. Even after a few coats I still felt like some areas were blotchy. I got better results using my own nice brushes than with the little sponge that comes with it, but still not great. Also, the shape of the container looks nice, but trying to swoop your brush in the tiny, curvy area of the middle colors is annoying. I'd rather have simple rectangles to get my brush into. I think I'll use the Seductress palette now and then, but for the other two I'll keep them as back up for when I feel like experimenting again.
Very disappointing. I wanted matt eyeshadow and only the light brown wasn't glittery. Pretty much a waste of money for me. However if you like glittery eyeshadow it could be perfect for someone else. The consistency was nice and colors perfect. Blends nice.
the sponge applicators disintegrated. BAD MAKE-UP. I had to throw away. 😠
