Smooth and easy to apply. Not as long lasting as I would like but overall I like it.
I have used the Loreal sharpener as recommended and I still have a hard time sharpening the lip liner. The quality of the actual product is awesome but they definitely need to step it up on how customers can get to the actual product. I find myself using a razor blade. ;-/....step it up Loreal!!!
I bought a L'Oréal retractable (encased in plastic) lip liner but when I opened the lid and tried to twist it to get a little more of the tip to come up, it wouldn't twist..anywhere. I tried twisting it at the top—nope. It didn't work. I tried twisting it at the bottom at the part where the colored piece of plastic meets the black plastic pencil encasement—still, no. Nothing worked. I ended up pulling the colored bottom piece off to see if I could possible twist it manually from the bottom—nope. It would budge. I tried pushing the bottom part upward—that didn't work either. I've used a LOT of lip liners in my life and never had a problem with any of them until now. I'm very disappointed in this company and will not buy another product if there's again (which will be easy because it's a very competitive market). If I were you, I'd stick with a regular wooden lip lining pencil. The downside is that you have to sharpen them; however, a wooden pencil will not fail to work for you when you need it.
The formula is great, but there needs to be a better way to use it. The pencil does not sharpen very well despite my using a brand new sharpener. The actual cream of the liner isn't compatible with sharpening and results in a LOT of product waste. This formula would better be used in a mechanical pencil style. Furthermore, the product is not stabilized by the pencil design resulting in an awful application after attempted sharpening.
As soon as I opened the lip liner, the tip fell off & there's no way to twist it up to sharpen it! Am I supposed to shave off the plastic with my sharpener? I don't see that working.
have purchased many L'Oreal products in the past and been happy. But I have to let you know that when I unwrapped your “color riche Matte” pencil and couldn't get to the color no matter what I tried, I am extremely upset. As I read through comments one of your responses was to purchase your pencil sharpener. I think it is disgraceful that you would sell an item with the solution to purchase another of your items. I doubt I will purchase any L'Oreal items in the future.
Don't buy this. It's a complete waste of money. I got maybe two uses out of it because it is NON retractable and UNsharpenable. Flash advertising at its finest and the customer support team just copies the same response, "We appreciate the feedback and will pass it along to our Product Team." For a reputable company, this one blew it for me.
I see review after review of people saying they are trying to get the pencil to come forward so they can use it… Because it only takes one application to use up everything that sticks beyond the plastic part... And the only advice given every single time by the L'Oreal people is to sharpen it. Not once… Has anyone suggested how to get the pencil far enough out of the stupid plastic part to actually sharpen it!!!
I purchased this lip liner because I do normally enjoy the L'Oreal products, but I'm sorry to say this was a sincere disappointment. The tip was broken off once I opened it and it was impossible to extend or get any of the product out, so it was essentially garbage right out of the packaging.
I love the color, but it was a total waste of money! I used FOUR of my sharpeners, including the recommended one, and they did NOTHING but make a mess! I even tried sharpening with my utility knife and it was awful as I had to keep shaving it over and over. I will never purchase this lip liner again unless a better sharpening solution is made.
