I have oily roots and this worked for me wonderfully. I apply it to my roots and then wrap my hair in a shower cap. The product smells great not overpowering at all and rinses out well from the hair with no residue. It works well for oily roots if used once or twice a week. Worth the price and great product.

I have always fought greasy bangs with my fine hair. I wasn't sure this would work but I put it on & got the shower ready. It rinsed out better than I thought it would. Then used the Extraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner. The first day I used it, I wasn't sure if it helped because I worked out & got sweaty. Then next time I tried it, I showered at night & when I woke up my bangs were still dry & not plastered to my forehead. I saw the commercial on TV for this product and stopped, bought and used it this morning. I love it. My hair feels wonderful and smells so good. I have been fighting the oily roots and the dry ends for so long. I am so thankful for this, my hair looks and feels so heathy.

So happy I found this product line, I've been looking forever for something that would help with oily roots and dry ends! I use the mask once a week, wasn't sure how to apply it at first, but it wasn't hard to figure it out, and shampoo and conditioner every day. I have extremely oily hair (and face) I had to wash my hair every morning and night, everyday! My hair would be super flat and greasy after 8 hours after washing. I feel like this product is meant for people who would find their selves washing twice or more a day, like me. I still wash every morning because it makes me feel clean, but I could go days without. This made my hair have volume, feel soft, look clean all day, and most importantly, OIL FREE! Thank you L'Oréal!

My daughter's roots are so oily and I have tried everything and spent a fortune. The rest of her hair canr take the constant shampooing though. I used a baby medicine syringe to get it right on her scalp and it was so easy. We have struggled for at least four years and today is day 3 of fresh looking hair since we used the mask, shampoo, and conditioner. Thanks from this mom and her 9 year old with very long hair.

I bought this product about a week ago and I LOVE it!! I was really worried about it because my hair is super oily and I'm always nervous trying new things but this was awesome! I usually have to wash my hair everyday and I don't have to wash my hair for about 2 when I use this pre shampoo mask! It's amazing

This is my first Loreal product and I was quite surprised at the results of the clay mask. I'm a woman of color with 3C/4A hair type. My hair is more straight wavy in the front and could in the back. I normally make my own bentonite clay wash to cleanse and clarify my hair after product build-up. I purchased the clay mask as a quick alternative. First, I applied the product to my dry hair for a little < 5 minutes, no cap. I made sure not to let it dry. I noticed immediate curl definition with the product in. I rinsed out in the shower and used Renpure cowash to make sure all the clay was removed. I still had lots of curl definition. I t-shirt dried my hair, taking care not to disturb my curl pattern. I used the L.O.C method after before putting in 2 strand twist. I didnt use Loreal Clay shampoo or conditioner b/c I don't use shampoo on my hair and I make my own conditioner. Loreal Clay mask is a good product for African American women with natural hair. This is a good alternate for woman who use bentonite clay or the rhassoul clay washes. Sometimes your just not in the mood to mix up a clay wash. Loreal should consider letting hair bloggers like CurlyNikki or Naptural85 test their product and blog about it. The product just might fly off the shelf, Just Sayin!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seems like a great concept! I always get so frustrated with my "5-o-clock roots" and I wish that my hair didn't get so oily so fast. Unfortunately, this product didn't give me the results I'd hoped for. A couple of suggestions: 1. Provide an applicator brush-- it's a sticky mess! 2. Go back to the drawing board with R&D-- the formula isn't quite working. 3. Make it a once-a-month treatment. This isn't something I'm going to slap on my hair a couple of times a week. It's exhausting!
