I've never been a person who is good at putting on makeup. Most of the time I just go without. But my sister-in-law turned me on to this eyeliner and the eyeshadows that go with it and wow what a difference! It's easy to put on, it stays on and it's pretty! I have never gotten compliments on my makeup until I started using this product. Thank you Loreal!!!
This eyeliner at first glance was pretty scary with the pointed applicator and all, but after watching a few tutorials and experimenting I found that it worked better on the waterline of the eye, good staying power, had to reapply only once after 8 hrs of work. I would definitely but this product again in all different colors.
I really like this color with my brown eyes. It shows up real well for a bold look. The only problem I have with this is that the kohl tends to shed and go all over your cheeks and eyes. I suggest holding a tissue under your eyes as you apply it. Other than that little issue, I really like it. :D
There really should be a tutorial for these. I think they are best on the waterline (inside the rim of the lower lashline where it meets the eyeball). How I use these: 1) Hold the applicator horizontally and use the side of the applicator to PRESS the pigment into the waterline. 2) Repeat slowly untill the entire waterline is lined. 3) Close eyes firmly to transfer the line to upper lid. Fill any gaps in the line with the point of the applicator. 4) Enjoy your dramatic smokey liner look!
I always had problems with my eyeliner running so I tried this one and absolutly loved it. I used this product everyday for about 2 weeks till the applictor tip bent. I still tried to use it after but it wouldn't go on as smooth. So I loved the product but was unsatified with the applicator. I wish you would sell a replacement applicator if this is a problem you are having consistently, I would be glad to buy it if it were available.
It's really pretty, but I try to use like eyeliner and it is powder like eyeshadow and just gets all over my cheeks and then I am trying to get it off and not pull of my face make up. Wish I knew how to use it effectively, because the color is pretty.
I loved the product at first. It looks great and stays on great. But it is messy to apply (gets on checks). Then after a week or so, the texture changes and it doesn't go on as well and the tip of the applicator starts to curl. I bought a second one just to see if maybe the first one was just bad, but the same things happened. I love how it looks, I've been looking for something like it for a long time, but there are too many cons. I don't think I will be purchasing it again.
I liked the color and how is stayed on my eyes but after a month or less the eyeliner brush curls and is hard to apply. I thought I must have did something to the brush at first so I bought another and the same thing happened. Very disappointed with applicator... difficult to use .
i bought the HIP eyeliner to have a softer look than a liquid. The brush is not a brush, but a piece of hard plastic. As I draw it across my lid, the powder falls on my cheek. Then it is very difficult to remove from there and I have to re-do my foundation...... This product is expensive to just sit in my makeup drawer....
I love the color and it does stay on like other reviews stated but the applicator is hard and doesn't seem to work well on the upper lid and yes a ton falls on my cheek and gets everywhere so I have to redo my powder. I had hoped to find a video on this site to show me what I am doing wrong but no luck. I am taking it back to the store.
