I use this to cover my grey roots. It also makes my thin spots seem fuller. It does rub off, so be careful about putting your head on the back of a white chair or sofa. It could also rub off on a hat or your date's white shirt. I use a dark throw on my recliner to protect it. It washes out of fabrics or off your hands easily.

This is EXCELLENT, I've been buying boxed hair dry color, NEVER AGAIN...THIS here is PERFECT, it doesn't drip, nor rub off on my pillow case, last long, this was my first time buying this product, I was skeptical about it, but I AM GLADE,that I bought it, I'm in awe of how long its covering my gray strands, it been 3 days and it's still fully covering...

This color exceeded my expectations. My hair honestly looks better than it has after my hair was colored at expensive salons. I have received lots of compliments! The comb feature was a bit difficult to use. It was easier to just section out my hair and squeeze the color onto each area, distributing it with my fingers while wearing rubber gloves. I really like the shampoo that comes in this kit because it soothes the scalp and counteracts any damage from the color treatment. Excellent conditioner too. I will definitely use this again.

Ive used this product for a few years now. it covers the gray %26 the dark brown new growth that appears, for me, every 3 weeks. it allows me the option to dye my hair every 5 weeks, not 3 and keep my hair healthier rather than overprocessed, dry %26 brittle. I've tried other brands %26 types of root coverups %26 its my opinion that this is the best one all around.

This is my go-to hair dye brand and color! You get such a rich long-lasting color, and SO much cheaper than going to the salon! I get compliments on the shade. Easy to use. I do recommend if you have long/thick hair to get 2 boxes. Still much cheaper than the salon though. I've used for years now, and this has never turned me brassy, or made my hair have that hair dye smell for days like a lot of other brands will!

I am extremely pleased with this product and color. I have so many good things to say, I don't know where to start. First off, this is my first time using this product and only the second time ever coloring my hair. 1. The instructions are well written and easy to follow and easy to apply (no hassle). 2. The color on the model on box is true to color results. 3. The tones and highlights are beautiful and natural looking. 4. The hair color DOES cover gray extremely well. Even better, it covered multiple hair colors to the same color without any drama or hair colored mishaps. I used another brand and color previously. My goal was to go "hyper platinum." My roots were completely platinum (just looked gray to me) and the rest of my hair lifted only to orange/brassy looking. While waiting 2 weeks before re-coloring, my brown roots in various areas of my hair grew back considerably. So, my hair was mostly gray/platinum in the front/forehead %26 temple areas, brown roots in middle and back of head, then the rest of hair was orange/brassy. I'm at home most of the time so I was able to keep a headwrap on that mess of a look for 2 weeks until I could re-color. I colored my hair as directed for 30 minutes and my hair looks BEAUTIFUL and SOFT!!! ALL of those various colors were evenly colored to the medium golden blonde with beatiful, shiny highlights. Note: I am African American with thick but soft hair so I used 2 boxes for adequate coverage. Lastly, I am in love with the shampoo (lathers so well) and the creamy, CREAMY conditioner. I felt so pampered doing my hair. L'Oreal Excellence definitely lives up to its name!!!

I've used L'Oreal products for many years on my hair . The color is true to what it describes . I use the ash tones because my hair tends to grab the red . With this product it last longer than most before you need a touch up . It also comes with a traditional type bottle to apply and one that is a comb type applicator . I use the comb type one because it makes it so much easier to apply without all the mess and splatters.

I had a hard time saying I would recommend, but it certainly may work better for others. Now let me say I have bought it multiple times because this the only real option for root spray in Red. BUT It Is NOT Red. I have called the company multiple times to say the product works good in general and if it was red like the can it would be fantastic! But, it is not, it is a dark brown. And I am not saying this just based on how it looks in contrast to my hair, but when some may spray/drip on my face, or even where I try to rub it around in my hair, my fingers have a dark brown tint, I really see no hint of red. I do not know what else to say. I can blend it okay for a little with my hair, but not much since the color is so.. not red. I do not know about the other colors of course. But I am pretty sure blonde was not really blonde either when I spot checked it in a store one day (I thought, that is a really difficult color for a spray! As apparently is red.)

I'm upset because I specifically lightened my hair beforehand so that the Chocolate Brown shade would be correct. Instead I got a shade that looks almost black, at least 2-3 shades darker than the box with no hint of the reddish-brown I wanted. I will never buy this brand again. Going back to Garnier, sometimes that's a little lighter than the advertised color but so much closer than this.

The color was all over my fingers every time I touched my scalp. My hair got wet in the rain, my face was full of color so embarrassing.
