I loved the shimmer, it catches the light really nicely without being too much. The color is so pretty, and it's really pigmented. I only needed one light swipe on each eyelid, and that was enough for great color payoff. It glides on smoothly, blends out easily with my finger, and feels lightweight once it sets. I did not notice any scent, which I liked. It stayed looking nice throughout the night and made getting ready really quick and easy. Based on my first impression, I would definitely recommend it. Often, I find eyeshadows difficult to work with because they look like too much on me, but this one is just the perfect dept. Definitely more for a night time routine. If you have oily skin it might not be the best because it is an over smudge risk but that's where a setting spray comes in. It could be partially because of the dark color - and credit to them this is a very rich, potent black color - but that also makes it somewhat unforgiving. It is somehow both very smudgy and durable at the same time which means if you get it where you dont want it, it is tricky to blend but also melts and smears easily too. I would find it difficult to use this in a hurry or for quick makeup application - though with a lighter shade that may be less of a problem.
