There must be hundreds of laptop holders available, certainly many through Walmart's online storefront. This design probably tops most of them. Very sturdy, elegantly simple design. The material of the panels is a very tough metal mesh, for air circulation. The laptop platform rests at a small angle to the user if no further elevation is wanted, and there are 2 rubber-faced tabs near the user that retain the laptop in place as it sits at its slight angle. IF more elevation is wanted, say the user is using a touch pen for drawing, the top panel can be elevated to several different choices of angle with a sturdy U- shaped bar that can rest in several slots in the bottom frame piece. It has 4 round rubber feet for cushioning if used on a table top. I usually have it on my lap or on top of bedcovers. The metal mesh panels and the open sides allow plenty of air exchange to the laptop's underside. I liked my first so well that I have now bought 4, to have in several locations. Because I bought the first without etablinging a Walmart acount, I couldn't easily locate the product when I wanted another. There us no company name anywhere on the stand. It took a looong time searching Walmart's online pages to finally locate it. Terrific product, every consideration well thought out. Oh: there is also a rubber piece that slides, then clips into place on the back narrow panel, with slots for organizing cables and cords. Excellent.
