Lost in Austen DVD

I'm a big Jane Austen fan. I would recommend seeing Pride & Prejudice first in order to understand & enjoy this movie to the fullest. Who doesn't dream marrying Mr. Darcy?

I am and have always been a huge Jane Austen fan but, this my friends takes her P&P to a whole new level! It brings your imagination/fantasy into one of her most famous stories & shows a great deal of perspective. What if you where somehow transported back into time...into her era and played the role of miss bennet yourself? What would it be like? That is exatly what people get to explore in this move..the fantasy of doing just that. This is the first time women from this era can relate to hers and that is amazing in and of it's self. This take on Jane Austen's Pride and Predjudice is fun and full of funny, unexpected, ghasping twists and turns. My sister absolutely loves it as well. I highly recommend this movie!

If Jane Austen were here today she would probably enjoy this production and reinvention of her most famous work. The entire cast pulls off this very clever take on Pride & Prejudice in a very entertaining and funny way. Changing places with Elizabeth Bennett, contemporary Amanda Price is transported into the book and tries desperately to keep the story line true to the book, unfortunately she begins to change the direction of the story. Jemima Roper is the priceless Amanda Price and does a great job.

I LOVE this movie!! If your a Pride and Prejudice junkie like I am, then you will love this movie as well. Wonderfully written I love the spin they took on this BBC classic! Great deal as well buying through Wal-mart .com as you get free shipping with site to store.

"Lost in Austen" is a fun twist to "Pride & Prejudice", well directed and quirky. It is from the British ITV and it was shown there as a mini series, so be prepared to either view it installments or take a long evening of watching it.

I got hooked on this movie watching PBS. It was a mini series and I couldn't wait for the next week's installment, plus I had missed the first part, so I bought it. I've purchased this movie for a gift.

An interesting take on the timeless Jane Austen tale of Pride and Prejudice. Good performances with many familiar faces if you follow British television and screen. A little bit of crude humor in places but nothing that is offensive or takes away from the story.

If I could give this a zero rating I would. It was a terrible movie.
