I love this black rice. The rice has a chewy texture, and it also looks dark purple after cooking.

Delicious and Affordable!
I have been purchasing Heirloom Forbidden Rice from Swanson and have been totally satisfied with each order. It always arrives on time, the cost is less than my local supermarket and Swanson's Customer Service is second to none. They happily go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. DELICIOUS!!
This rice tastes amazing and is so easy to prepare. I am hooked! It is good hot or cold, makes a great breakfast cereal or interesting side dish at any meal. I like to add a tablespoon of ghee to the cooking water.

A healthy and satiating food staple.
Very tasty and satisfying compliment to the bean soups I create. Unlike white rice, this one has a unique flavor that adds to, but doesn't overwhelm other foods: chicken, salads, fish, etc.
