I originally bought this for a submarine expedition with Burt Reynolds. We spent three days beneath the ocean searching for the legendary Catfish of Destiny. Sadly, we never found it because Burt insisted every blip on the sonar was "probably a sandwich." The expedition may have been a disaster, but this tartar sauce was not. It's creamy, tangy, and has just the right balance of pickle flavor without overpowering the fish. It actually complements seafood instead of covering it up. I tried it on fish sandwiches, fried cod, shrimp, and even fries just to see what would happen. No regrets. If I ever find myself back on another underwater adventure with Burt, this bottle is definitely coming along. Hopefully this time we'll find the catfish before Burt mistakes another sea turtle for lunch. Five stars. The fish may have escaped, but the tartar sauce was the real catch of the day.
Absolutely the best tartar sauce I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot. It has the perfect amount of creaminess and tang you'd usually expect, but some light, yet delicious Cajun spices you'd expect from Louisiana brand. It is truly the best compliment to a nice fish or shrimp dish.
I'm using it very seldom but running out after 5 years now .Can't find it aisle because packaging is now different but tastes great as always.Ordered online pickup at store - parking in spots and hassle free came right to my car. Excellent service.
Hands down this is my favorite tartar sauce. I was turned off at first at the use of high fructose corn syrup, but after trying many other sauces, I had to stick with the Louisiana brand. I use this mostly with fried fish and the flavor of the Louisiana brand always goes great with my fish choices.
I would characterize smell and taste as almost pungent. In all fairness, it felt like there was no seal between the cap and the bottle when I removed the shrink wrap so the product could have gone bad – however this happened two times in a row with two separate bottles so there's still an issue.
I have been using Kraft for the past few years and I was looking for something with a little more zip? flavor. Well this brand has no flavor to me but I see others like it so take my review as a grain of salt. It was also hard to shake out of the bottle small opening. For now I will stick with Kraft and try to make my own.
I expect Tarter sauce to taste a bit creamy. This was very watery. Way too much Vinegar in it. Didn't like the lemon in it also, and there was no mayonnaise in it.
This bottle was very expired. It expired in October 2024! It was extremely rancid and discolored. It should not have been on the shelf at this time. I would like to get my money back for an item that was not usable. Order pickers should be checking expiration dates on delivery orders!
Awful flavor. Too much vinegar. Does not pour out. You have to scoop it out of the little jar. Even though this was the only tartar sauce I found without high fructose corn syrup, I had to throw it away because of the weird flavor. I definitely do not recommend it.
When I got the product, the seal had been broken and it had a bad bitter taste to it cause I've checked them just to make sure if it got broke some other way, but I ended up having to throw the stuff away lately I'm getting broken Eggs smash bread so I'm watching everything I have to buy anymore I like Walmart delivery, but I gotta start watching what I ordered from you guys
