Spice level is good, spicey near hot but not too much but the salt over powers any flavor it has. Might as well pour salt into your palm and lick that... that's how salty it is. 4 ounce package with 540mg of salt. If they made this without salt it would be good. I'll never will buy this again. I wanted something easy and quick to make it's saltiness makes it disgusting and inedible. Unfortunately I had to toss out the entire pot of sea food gumbo I made. Such a waste of money because of this product.

Could not believe how salty this was. Had to strain the finished stew and then mix with a ton of rice to cut the salt. Fortunately I did not salt the meat or rice before cooking, as that would have added to the problem. I am not a low-salt cook or eater, but this was 2-3x saltier than it should be. Do not recommend.

Woah... Way too salty. I'm not sure how anyone could eat this and enjoy it. Yikes! I had to quit eating it halfway through the bowl because I don't want to be up all night with a racing heart! I used water so I can't imagine it with chicken broth.
