Louisiana Pepper Exchange 4oz Ghost Pepper Puree Sauce

I bought this product for one specific use - to make things spicy! I've mostly been using it in sauces and am getting used to the potency and how much to include in my recipes. So my review is based on my initial thoughts. What I like: ingredients are simple! Price seems like a decent value - not the cheapest but also not terrible for how potent the product is. A little goes a long way. As long as I don't run into any drawbacks or issues, I plan to purchase again!

Got it as a deterrent for my dog chewing up my furniture. It worked great were my no chew from pet smart didn't.

Great seasoning, especially for Cajun cuisine.

As it was a puree, I expected to be a little bit thicker than it was, overall the flavor is good, it adds a nice smoky flavor, for me personally, it's not as hot as I was hoping, but I still enjoy it. I mixed a few spoonfuls into some ground chicken that I ended up putting some shredded cheese in the middle of and making sort of like an egg shape, that I dubbed a dragon egg. 😅

This is just OK. If you are looking for something truly hot, this isn't it. If you are a normal mortal, however, this will probably be spicy enough for your needs. The heat level is about what standard grocery store hot sauce is, nothing special, and certainly not the level of heat that I am used to from ghost pepper sauces or purees.

L.P.E.'s Ghost Pepper purée is less spicy than common Louisiana Hot Sauce (Texas Pete). There is a slightly salty taste, as stated on it's ingredient list.
