The hearing aids have exceeded my expectations! Among other things, I can finally enjoy watching TV again. In the past, even though I turned up the volume, I would have a difficult time understanding what was being said. Now, I understand 98% of what is being said. It has been nice not to have to ask people to repeat themselves (sometimes 2 or 3 times) when having a conversation - and probably nice for them. It has taken a couple of weeks of adjustment, but now I don't even know I am wearing the aids. The best endorsement for these OTC hearing aids is: If something happened to them today, I would not hesitate to replace them tomorrow.
A reasonable cost alternative for those with mild to moderate hearing loss. There are issues getting used to the hearing aid and fitting properly. Also issues with the app that can be annoying. But their customer service for technical issues are very good and if needed they can set up time with staff in the hearing aid center at Sams to help though you do need to set this up through their customer service to avoid extra cost. I would say that these work best for those who are comfortable with technology and its occasional glitches. The first week I found took getting used to but after that very comfortable. Have been using now for three weeks and very pleased. Consumer Reports in their latest (November 2022) issue have discussion of the OTC hearing aids. I chose the battery operated as it is easy to change batteries and Sams has low cost offer on these. Also chose behind the ear and think those work best vs the in the ear models.
Simple set-up, comfortable to wear, works well, adjustable: a very helpful product
I am in tears. I can hear the patter of rain. I can hear the water bubbling in the teapot. I can hear my cat quietly scratching at the door. I literally had forgotten about those ambient sounds. I can listen to TV at a volume that doesn't disturb anyone. I can clearly hear my family on video chat. After only an hour's time adjusting I wasn't even conscious of wearing them. I've had no problems with feedback, and I had these things in my ears and running in less than 10 minutes from opening the package. I wear glasses and they don't interfere at all. The app took me longer to download, and figure out, End it doesn't seem to want to pair without shutting, both the phone and the hearing aids off and then restarting. I'll work on that, but the app doesn't really seem to offer a lot of advantages over adjusting from the devices themselves. I was stunned to find out that I can stream the sound from for example, Spotify directly through the hearing aids. Things like the reliability of the units, battery life, how they will work in noisy situations etc. are yet to be determined, but so far these work every bit as good as the other ones I tried, which were literally 10 times the price.
They stop paring with your phone too easily, you have to remove them from your ears, open and close - to turn off and on to pair them again. The sound quality works well for me, the batteries, last almost a week which is good.
My 46 year old son had developed hearing problems and was reluctant to pay thousands for aids that might not work for him. I ran across this set and ordered them based on the low price, the favorable reviews and Sam's excellent return policy. With nothing to lose, he tried them and his first statement was, "I haven't heard this well in years". After settling the app on his phone and some tweaking, he's using them daily.
Able to hear better no feedback. However aides lose connectivity to WiFi often. Does not auto connect. Aweful I have reconnect 10-15xs a day. Only using until my insurance kicks in.
I can hear some better but there is a lot of background noise some voice tones are still difficult if you turn down to block static noise.
Battery operated. First set died in 4 days. I returned them
Bought ‘em. Heard well. Wow, for two days. Day three, they fell apart. Literally. In my hand. The speaker just fell out of the processor casing. Ugh. Returned them for full refund. Customer Service is alive and well at Sam's Club. Poorly made hearing aids. Great Member Service.
