I have loved this cereal since childhood ..sweet but not too sweet...
I don't know about other people. But saying this is industrial cleaner is stupid. I am a 67 year old man and have been eating this cereal since it was created. Nothing absolutely nothing has happened to me. I remember when this cereal was nothing but 4 marshmallows and not frosted.
I'v recently purchased a few bags. And now with my dietary restrictions I have to follow. Iread through the nutritional values more like Salt, Potassium and Phosphorous. Many other cereals you buy in the store have all three of these minerals listed either in percentage of daily value or in Mg's. The only one not mentioned is the Phosphorous. I myself have to watch the Phosphorous with CKD,. I would recommend adding this to your label to let people like me know since people with CKD are on the increase in the USA alone. CKD = Chronic Kidney Disease.
I love lucky charms but unfortunately I cannot support this brand due to their negligence and use of dyes. There is no point to adding dyes. They do not add flavor. Use natural dyes. Or no dyes. We live in the era of pastel and subtle tones. Kids love beige (lol). Make your cereal sexy instead of deathly. Red 40, blue 1, yellow 5 and 6 are literally killing our kids, stunting their abilities to grow (mentally and physically). We want a smart nation so let's get rid of harmful dyes! Please! yall would be leading the charge. And have lots of support.
I eat Lucky charms badly every day for breakfast. Poured myself a bowl of these "new" ones and man they tasted terrible, almost of soap. I thought maybe it was my milk, but that was fine. Check again and yeah, the "new magic gem" marshmallows are running the whole bowl! Even after picking them out, there's still a bit of their taste lingering. Not a fan and these are the only boxes we are getting where I live currently!
Lucky Charms used be “frosted toasted oats cereal “ and not it's labeled as “frosted toasted cereal” because corn was added. It doesn't taste as good and it smells weird too. Adding corn was a bad idea. Might be cheaper to make but this once favorite is now ruined.
Been eating this for most of my 58 years. Felt like something wasn't right recently - the taste was off. I thought it was me. I was SO disappointed to see one of the last remaining oat cereals is no longer a toasted oat cereal!! Out of curiosity I read the ingredients and the third one listed is "whole grain corn". I should have looked sooner as something just didn't taste the same. Price goes up and the quality goes down! Stop cutting corners in the name of profit!! You have lost my 58 years of loyalty.
I grew up eating this and all the other general mills cereals as a kid. Research shows the synthetic lab made ingredients in it such as dyes and modified corn, not to mention the high sugar can cause a whole host of diseases. Please educate yourselves before eating and feeding to your children. It's poison.
Me too. After having gluten free not so Lucky Charms for the first time a green rainbow appeared in my toilet bowl. Oh my that little leprechaun was quite in a hurry. Lucky Charms taste and smell differently. Not how they used to. Looks like the big G lost a customer.
I've eaten Lucky Charms since I was a kid, but up until recently, every time I would eat them it would make me sick. Within hours of eating the cereal it would cause me to have diarrhea. Also I noticed that my stool was a greenish blue color. My three year old daughter has the same symptoms after eating them as well. Not sure if the ingredients inside the cereal changed or what but we are never buying this again.
