I use this all the time for turnovers and pies, sometimes cheesecake, and it's consistently the best. The cherry flavor is actually vibrant and not overly sweet like some canned fillings can be. The texture is perfect! not too runny, not too thick. It holds up well when baking and doesn't turn into a watery mess. The cherries are a decent size and there's plenty of them, not just a bunch of gel with a few sad pieces of fruit. Being organic is a nice bonus, but honestly I buy it because it just tastes better than the other options. The 21 oz can is a good amount for most recipes without having a ton left over. If you're making pies or turnovers regularly, keep a couple cans of this in the pantry. It's my go-to now.
This organic cherry pie filling is amazing!!! The gel is an admittdly different feel than your typical canned pie filling, but the flavor is the best. I have used this for my cherry poke cake, and it's a favorite. Thank you, Lucky Leaf. Please do not stop making this.
This is FAR and away the best cherry pie filling I have ever had, barring none. The taste is incredibly fresh and full of honest flavor. I don't even enjoy cherry pie filling but used this as recommended in a cherry cheesecake brownie recipe and OH MY. Could eat this straight out of the can. AND the ingredients are REAL foods. No chemicals mixed in. 10/10!!!!
Best cherry pie filling I ever had...live that it's organic!!
Don't bother with the organic variety. The can was about half full of gel. You pay and you get less. The regular Lucky Leaf Cherry Fruit filling was good value. The organic was found to be wanting. If you must have organic, buy two cans and remove the extra gel that you won't want. This was a one time only purchase for me.
I love that this is organic and no dyes are used. It tastes great without red dye winning!! The bad thing is it is almost impossible to find at any local Walmarts so when I find it in a nearby town, I stock up!
The cherries have an odd taste - probably from the "flavoring."
The consistency was not to my liking. I will never use again.
Walmart shipped horribly dented cans!!!! I purchased some of 3 varieties - apple, blueberry, and cherry. Supposedly 2-packs, 3-packs, and 4-packs. NONE of the cans were in their original packaging, and 8 out of 19 cans were dented. One was crushed to 2/3 its normal height!!! Box has clearly been dropped at least once and I suspect some cans were already damaged BEFORE shipping! This is a FANTASTIC PRODUCT! And it should have been treated as such. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE on the part of WALMART. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Pic shows 8 dented cans on the left side...
Again of 4 cans received 3 were dented 2 severely so. Would not have bought off shelf. Since this is the third time can goods have been all dented up I will no longer be ordering can goods, appears this is how you get rid of these products. FYI the boxes shipped in showed no damage, so appears to not to be due to packaging or handling.
