I replaced one of the same type and from the same manufacturer that I moved from my old pickup six years ago. Fits and installs the same. I specifically looked for this model.
Ordered this item and the first one had an issue with one of the corners not covering properly. They were great and issued a return and reshipped a new one right out. The second one we received was perfect. This is the third truck we have put one of these covers on. It's so lightweight and easy to put on and take off if needed. Won't ever own any other cover.
I ordered this for my 2001 Dodge Quadcab long bed. I had a different brand of the same tri-fold style for my short bed and loved the convenience, style and durablility; but I wanted the fabric style that they did not offer. Folding vinyl in below zero temps does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling. On The Plus Side: The Lund had a good price and was available in the fabric. Installation is simple and easy. I normally take it on and off by myself but a second person makes it even easier. I like that it comes with cushion pads to put on the side of the bed rails where the clamps attach. I have had no issues with water infiltration and I have driven through some very pounding rain storms on the interstate. Everything in the bed stayed perfectly dry. On The Minus Side: The cover does not follow the shape of the bed like the other brand I had before. The Dodge bed is a little narrower at the back, so it would be nice if they could follow the contour of the bed rails. Also, if the tonneau is placed to cover the entire front edge of the bed, then it only goes about a third of the way on the tailgate. Like I said before, nothing has ever gotten wet so it is more of an appearance issue than a functional one.
This the second Lund Tri-Fold i have purchased. The first was in 2012 and was for a longer 8' Ram bed. I really like the product. Easy on, easy off, easy to carry, easy to store. The new one I purchased in 2017 is a different fabric than the first. This one is more like a convertible top material. I think it looks a bit classier. In my opinion this product is such good quality and fit that I will always look for this brand first. It had a rebate when I bought it this time which was nice but I'd have gone this way anyway. Totally satisfied. Wish there would have been a longer length of seal tape included as I had to go three layers on the front edge, but that was a minor inconvenience.
Was going to go with a roll up but I'm glad I didn't! This is easy to partially open or remove and replace if necessary. Moved a bunch of yards of mulch, folded up and removed cover. With a roll up, I would have had mulch all over the Velcro and the rails. This tri fold is neat, clean and sharp looking. SIMPLE install, maybe 20 minutes.
The Lund Trifold arrived on time and in great condition. I could see upon opening that it was a quality product. Installation took all of 5 mins, and it was good to go. Has been on the truck (2014 Silverado)for 2 months and no issues. Would buy again...a quality product. Also like the easy clean up, always looks good.
This tonneau cover is so nice. Very easy to install and really made my 2013 Ford F-150 look so much better. Was torn between the Elite cover and the vinyl version and was so glad I went with the Elite. The fabric is so much nicer than the vinyl and shortly after I got it on, a inconsiderate bird decided to initiate it. It literally wiped off cleanly with a wet cloth. I love the way it looks on my truck and can finally keep things dry. The locks that came with it were also an added benefit.
This is a fantastic cover. A bit pricey, but living in Arizona, I needed something that would stand up to the sun. The one small detail that is problematic with my Tundra -- the strap/buckle attached at the front of the cover that is used to secure the cover when it is open -- when they lay flat, they're fine. Sometimes, however, they flip over and rattle against the cab. This is annoying, and it makes a mark on the finish. The two inch strap could be shortened or eliminated (attach buckle directly to cover in some way perhaps). Otherwise, love this product.
The Lund "Rag Top" Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover looks great on my 3500 High Country dually. It makes no noise going down the road even at high speed. The only issue I had was with the installation, on a 8' bed expect to spend a lot more time than the videos show on a short bed, other than that I'm well satisfied.
Maybe I'm being a bit picky, but not super impressed with this cover. For the price, I thought is would have had a better outer cover and stitching. It did, however have a $50 rebate which offset the expense. In the end, I'd say this cover should be less than $200 for what you are getting. I do love the tri-fold design but that is not exclusive to Lund. If I could have seen and touched it before hand I may have gone in another direction.
