works grate easy to use
This unit is easy to use has a good users guide and a nice quick guide that comes with it to help you understand the ideal pH level for many different types of plants I would recommend putting the pH guide in a protective cover to last for years to come.

Excellent for potted plants
Well made. But the blunt "bullet" shape trip means you can not simply push it into turf. The pH and fertility functions are useful but require prep consisting of making a slurry of soil. This is much easier for potted plants; would require digging holes in the lawn. Fine product but not ideal for lawn maintenance.

Very useful item
Just bought and used recently and really a great item. You can test for all 3...soil temp, ph and fertility. The fertility tells if you have over and under fertilized. Very cool garden tool!

EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MULTIPLE TESTS!
Bought this meter mainly to be able to easily take multiple soil pH tests. But now, I can also check soil temperature before transplanting and monitor fertilizer schedule with the fertility function. Each test result is easy to read on the digital screen. Found my yard soils vary in pH, so big benefit to be able to check various areas. I did discover the pH readings are much more accurate when I followed the easy steps for this test.

Playing in the dirt
We haven't had the opportunity to use it much as the Spring here in the Northeast has been cold and wet. The meter does require a bit of time, effort and precision. I do believe it will be beneficial in this year's grow season.

Couldn't see any change in the acidity between multiple locations in multiple yards. Always stayed at 7, which appeared to be the baseline number.
