Luther - 2003 Theatrical DVD -

This is a very good movie about how we are able to read the bible in our own language. I didn't know the story till I watched the movie. There aren't any top rate actors in here, but it is a wonderful movie. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did!! :)

This movie will open your eyes to life in the early 1500s, when the very survival of Christianity seems to have been at stake. This high-intensity look at Martin Luther's life will educate and entertain. This movie brings up important ideas about God and the church that Luther wrestled with that most people struggle with at some point in their lives. Inciteful. Inspiring. Wonderful movie.

Luther is a great movie for entertainment as well as education. It follows the story of this wonderful teacher and follower of God who led people to see the light and come out of the dark trap that was the "Church" at the time. By allowing people to read the Bible for themselves he unleashed the Protestant Revolution and changed the world forever. It made me laugh as well as made me ponder and be thankful. I highly reccomend it.

Great video, should be required viewing in public schools. This man's life changed Western (Civil)ization forever for the good. We would do well to reintroduce this giant to our public school system to enable our upcoming generations to have an alternative to our currently nihilistic philosophies rampant in our American Society today. Watch violent crime subside as we offer eternal truths to our cherished next generation before any more people suffer the ultimate eternal sacrifice without being offered the ultimate reason for living.

I liked so many things about this movie, but one of the big ones is that it didn't sluff over the character problems with those on both sides of the camp which made the heroic qualities of Luther more provocative. The changes that came kind of chased after him as he was force to reluctently take his stands. The winning result was that the issues instead of the people immerge as the main dish for the watchers pondering. Regardless of how the movie-watcher views Luther historically, they might very well find this account fair to both sides, well-acted and entertaining. Very very good.

This was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I never knew the history until now. It was very dramatic and I thought the acting was great. I only wish whoever borrowed my movie would give it back.
