This is my 3 d set of wheels for the old Murray. Plastic wheels are not an option. Bearings will wear out in 3-4 seasons, but rear wheels take the blunt of the turns.

Just in case you can't find rear tires for your electric wheelchair, I wanted you to know that I made these work just fine for a Jazzy 1113 electric wheelchair. I bought one of those Black and Decker all purpose, all sizes ratchets to make it easier to take the wheels off and put these on again. Walmart sells that ratchet tool as well at a reasonable price. I ordered online so I didn't have to go out searching in the cold weather for things I knew nothing about. The rear tires had dry rotted and had to be replaced but there are no authorized Jazzy dealers in this area anymore, nor repair stores for wheelchairs. I knew the sizes were 8 inches, and I wanted them to be strong enough to last awhile. I am well pleased with these steel tires Walmart sent me. When you have to improvise and do the best you can, I highly recommend checking with Walmart online first of all and get your items shipped to your home. When you are an elderly person, that option can mean so much. When you don't have much money to spend, Walmart.com can save you more. Great as described good upgrade

After a plastic wheel for our push-mower broke (many years old, purchased elsewhere), I decided to go with the steel wheels. The wheels arrived promptly and were simple to install. My 11 year old replaced the old wheels with the steel ones. Much sturdier! Happy customer!
