It is difficult nowdays to find a toilet cleaner that actually addresses hard water, rust, etc., especially actually effectively. This stuff does work! and I keep a bottle on hand for use as we do have city water, but is hard water, and we live in a very old house prone to rust issues with old pipes. I will continue to purchase this, as it is very effective.
We have had really hard water at the house since our water softener stopped working, and it's left the thickest stains on every surface it's come in contact with. I tried CLR without success, vinegar, etc. This is the first chemical product to really do the job with any level of success or speed. I've used it on the toilet, shower/tub, and sink, and it has been miraculous! It needs to go on undiluted if you want results relatively fast, so I got the toilet bowl as empty as possible before adding this, and the part that still has water is either going to need serious scrubbing, or a pretty decent chunk of time to just sit. I really recommend pairing this with a toilet bowl pumice stone, the combo means that most stains are taken away within seconds by the cleaner, and the ones that need more help are easy to spot. I don't have great before photos of the shower/tub, because I didn't expect it to work as well as it did, but you can see the during and after photo. Seriously, I can't recommend this enough.
The only cleaner that gets the hard water stains out of the toilet. I have tried everything else and nothing worked. I don't know how I missed this Lysol cleaner when I was searching. I was to the point that I was ready to replace the toilet. Works in other places too with rust and lime issues.
This stuff is amazing at eradicating stains nothing else will touch. Also, it is very inexpensive. My only caveat is that if you are using it to remove tough stains in a bathtub or something else that requires hands on scrubbing, be sure to use gloves. I am very impressed.
This stuff is a miracle. I tried everything on built up lime scale in toilets and sink one squirt let sit a minute and voila lime scale magically gone
We moved into a place with well water, and the elderly guy that lived here for years before us must have never cleaned the toilet because there were literally YEARS worth of layers of hard water stains in the bowl! I had tried the works, lysol with bleach toilet cleaner, regular bleach, vinigar, all separate of course... I even scrubbed it with a pumice stone, and still nothing came up and off! so nothing worked!! I decided to get this one, and after 2 days of woking on it periodically... It started coming off, little by little! we ended up using a wire brush also, but without the help of this toilet cleaner, without a doubt, we would jave never gltton it completely out! It's clean and bright white now! i was always told the works is the best, but not for the issue we had!! would highly reccomemd!
We noticed some mineral streaks in one of our toilets that wasn't used very often. We thought we'd have to replace it, but luckily we looked on YouTube first %26 found a cleaning influencer who recommended this toilet bowl cleaner. We followed directions %26 it worked like a champ! Saved us a bunch of money, too!
If you have older toilets, you will love this toilet bowl cleaner! It gets off lime scale, rust, and hard stains that won't come off with your typical bathroom cleaner. The smell is strong, and you definitely don't want to get it on your hands, but it works fantastic!
Works great for hard water stains and rust marks. Just spray it in the toilet bowl and leave it for at least a few minutes, longer is better. Then you can easily brush away any stains. I've also used it on hard water deposits in my bathroom sinks and it worked great - just be sure to rinse really well in a sink. This is one of the very few chemical products I use to clean in my house. Mostly I just use vinegar, but this tackles things vinegar alone can't handle. Definitely worth the cost!
I don't like smelly cleaners, so I gave it a 3 star for that. other than that, this stuff is amazing for hard water stains on the toilet bowl.
