Very robust, however I didn't like that there wasn't an obvious screwable adapter for drummers who sing to connect to a conventional microphone. It claims to be a boom stand, but you can't hold a Sm58 microphone with a regular mic clip that's screwed on to it right out of the box, therefore I gave it a 4 out of 5.
Although the box is somewhat flimsy and mine had a hole in the top, the product was unharmed. It is quite strong and easily supports my Blue Yeti and Radius 2 Shock mount.Although I am aware that a mic stand doesn't require a shock mount, the greater mobility for the microphone was necessary. However, the yeti and mount weigh about 5 pounds as a pair, and other, more expensive desk arms gradually tugged down or the desk would become too heavy to support the weight. If you have the space, a good purchase. It's a big boy.
The quality is outstanding. I did receive it with a small amount of plastic cracked around the main handle, but this was due to transportation and has no bearing on how it works.Firm and sturdy!Never descends on you; instead, it stops where you want it to.
The best boom I've ever used, with amazing extension and height and the ability to stay upright even when completely extended.
We required the height, and this stand fits our needs nicely.
The stand is well posable and quite strong.
This is powerful stuff!Everything is really solid and moves quite nicely.
Elegantly constructed and elegant stand. But when collapsed, it's enormous and very heavy.Although the stand weighed 32 pounds in the box, the description indicates it weighs 15 lbs.large footprint of the tripod. This is the tallest, sturdiest, and most stable microphone boom stand I have yet to see!And a fantastic value given the cost. However, it is far too big and heavy for me to transport to the recording place, which is why a star was docked. For a stereo pair of huge condenser or hefty ribbon microphones in a fixed location, it would probably be the 5-star option.
I ordered this item, and it is EXACTLY what I required in terms of a boom mike for the many areas where I record product overview videos that must be mic'd from above.Although the device is quite hefty and durable, the top bar is attached with a very poor plastic screw column that fails to tighten properly after just one or two usage, causing my microphone to gradually rotate away from the intended direction.I sent the business an email, they answered really fast and now I'm sending the product back for a replacement
It looks that this item has been used. The box appears to have been taped back up, and there are several scratches all over it.I don't like spending money on a brand-new item just to receive a worn or returned one.
