Heavy duty. I was surprised in a good way with the quality of these raised beds. I am ordering more.

hard to assemble

1 for assembly, 5 for everything else. So, 3 star

SerenityNow April 30, 2026

I want to give this a 1 for assembly but a 5 for everything else so I settled on a 3. The assembly, as others said, is not easy at all. The wing nuts don't thread very easily so most of the time is spent just trying to get the bolts threaded on the wingnuts. It does help if you screw the bolt into the wingnut rather than try to twist the wingnut onto the bolt. There are 92 bolts for each bed so it does take a long time. And each long side is actually 4 panels. The panels are metal but they are flimsy so trying to find the right position to be able to get them all connected takes some time and can be frustrating. It would definitely help if you have another person. It isn't too sturdy, it only has supports in the middle. Some other models had more supports but it seemed like they might get in the way. I have not filled them yet so I don't know how well they will hold that amount of dirt. But for the price, I figured they were definitely worth a try.

Tall, long and are a beautiful color

Maria March 5, 2026

I am torn because I was truly looking forward to these garden beds. I loved that they are 24 inches tall, 8 feet long and look sharp. I wanted something tall to help keep my seedlings protected from the cold, wind, and pests if I planted them 8 inches down from the top. I have to admit putting these together was tough. The instructions are vague, the pictures are poor, and they leave a few things unaddressed. I still want to know why the holes where the top and bottom 4 side panels meet don't have a matching hole on the brace so you can put a screw there to cover them . The holes stay there and it looks weird. They also don't tell you that everything painted dark is covered with a super thin sticky film. We just happen to notice it and it took many hours to remove it all. The hardware is a joke. They use wing nuts and they are hard to put on because the sides are composed of 2 panels that overlap so the whole thing is super flexible and just keeps moving. They need a nut that locks in place on the braces, then you just screw in the bolt. I tried using a drill on super slow and it worked, but be careful because if the wing nut gets stuck it can hurt you (I know because it happened several times to me). I ended up putting the panels on chairs and leaving a gap between the chairs where the bracing was happening. This way I could work from both sides to hold the bolt and wing nut. Good luck if you are putting this together by yourself, but the chairs should help you. Careful with metal shavings we found a lot of them, it could just be a fluke but one got me and it hurt bad. They should make the panels 24 inches wide instead of 12 inches, invest in better hardware, and put tissue paper between each panel instead of peel of plastic. If they did those few changes, I would have less cuts on my hands from the nuts, screws and edges from peeling that stuck on plastic. The 24 inch panels would be sturdier. The panels are thin in comparison to the other 8 garden beds I own, but I am okay with that because they seem well coated with paint. They do provide you with 4 cross braces that go in the center where the brackets are to keep them from bulging out. Because of the nice height, I dug them 3 inches into the ground to help with stabilizing and to keep the water and dirt in. If you plan on buying these I would recommend the chair, table or saw horse method to put them together. Make sure to remove the plastic film and dig them a few inches into the ground. They look just like the picture you see when ordering.

The boxes are not the same as the dimensions given, they are flimsy and removing the protective film took as long as putting them together.

I bought these because I wanted taller garden beds to compliment my snugniture 12" high metal raised beds; and they were on sale. Don't buy unless you have huge patience. It took 3 times as long to peel off the protective plastic from each piece than it did to put together. Quality is just okay - thin paint, not coated inside, thin metal, dents easily. Instructions are okay but not clear about which pieces overlap. Took hours to finish one and I still have one more to assemble. Pay a little more and get the better quality.
