M-D Building Products 40717 36 in. White Vinyl DENY™ U-Shape Slide-On Under Door Seal

I am very happy with this door seal. Honestly, it costs a bit more than some of the cheap options out there, but the quality is top-notch and it is worth it. The slide-on installation is fast and easy. You don't have to mess around with sticky tape, screws, or drilling holes into your door. It just slides right onto the bottom of the door and stays put. It grips tightly and doesn't wiggle or slip around when you open and close the door. The vinyl feels really tough but still has enough flex. It wraps around the bottom of the door with zero gaps, completely sealing the door. It also does a great job keeping out bugs, dust, and noise, but it still glides smoothly across the floor without dragging. The white finish looks clean and blends right into the door. It looks like it actually belongs there, instead of looking like a tacky add-on. Highly recommend!

I installed this same product several years ago and it has worn out from all the use of the door because it is my front door. so I'm getting a new one because the old one is pretty worn out. I feel like it is quite durable though and that's why I got another one of the same kind. It also does a great job keeping the heat in my home during the winter which is the main reason I got it. The plastic is pretty thick so they are a bit challenging to cut to size - I will probably use my angle grinder which is what I believe I used last time, or a multi-tool saw would work fine too.

This is great. The install is basically instant. If it's too long for your door, you just cut it. But, be careful how you cut it so you don't have one edge end to jaggedy looking. Keeps everything from crossing, entering through what would otherwise be a hole, including dust, pet hair, and odors.

We love this Deny door sweep. I have put them on all my exterior doors and recommend them to everyone. Keeps drafts out. The sweep keeps bugs out. If a bug does squeeze under the sweep the diatomaceous earth it is made with will kill the bug. Non toxic to humans and pets. Solves the door gap problem. No gaps after installing. Slides right on to attach to the door. Easy to cut to size.

measure and cut before installing. use a mallet to tap on gently because its a tight fit. works great though

Very easy to put on by yourself. A little pricey but Walmart had the best deal. Hopefully it lasts awhile.

Ive recently used two of these on doors and both have caused issues. while they keep the draft out, one has strips that keep tearing up on the threshold. the other, even with the half inch gap I had I needed to trim up with an exacto knife and even then it still has issues rubbing up on the threshold rubber.

I purchased the M-D Building Products 40717 36 in. White Vinyl DENY™ U-Shape Slide-On Under Door Seal and tried it twice, hoping the first time was just a fluke. Unfortunately, both units fell apart within days of installation. The seal fit properly and stayed securely on the door, so installation wasn't the problem. The issue was the durability of the weatherstripping itself. It began separating and breaking down just days after being put in place. For a product that's supposed to withstand regular daily use, this was very disappointing. After two attempts with the same result, I can't recommend it. It's simply not worth the money.

The specifications for this product states it is 2" wide. However, the packaging clearly states it fits 1-3/4" wide door. Wasted my time waiting for this delivery.
