I love MacBooks in general. This is the third one I have purchased. However, this particular one must have been sitting on a shelf somewhere for a very long time. On day one of opening it, the battery will not charge past one percent and has to be replaced. Truly, when you open the box all excited about having a new computer, it is expected to be in working order. I'm very disappointed this time.
I've bought two different ones and neither battery will charge beyond 1%. There's an error on the screen stating we need to set an appointment at the Apple Store. That's now two different Christmas presents that need returned. Walmart won't exchange, but I had to return then repurchase. So frustrated!
I just recently order this brand new MacBook and was extremely excited on receiving it. But when I finally received it, it already came with a service recommended issue which was the battery. It’s unfair to me to have to go through the steps of sending something back that I always wanted and waited for so anxiously. I’m very unhappy about this.
Gee, I wish I could have enjoyed this Macbook. I was really excited to get one and when I did the battery was at 1% and would not charge at all. It said "batter needs service". It would only run if it was plugged in, but as soon as you unplugged it it went turned off. This is a BRAND NEW Macbook. So I returned it and bought another one. Surely this wouldn't happen twice in a row with a brand new Macbook! Well, the next one came and I plugged it in and started it up, and yup. 1%. "Battery needs serviced." Either I'm the least lucky guy on the planet or you sent me the same one back again. Either way, I think I'm done trying to get a Macbook from here.
Big fun for wedge design and have a m1 macbook air from Walmart last year which works great. So ordered another one. However, battery is not charging for the new one, and had to return immediately. I guess Walmart may have a big storage in warehouse for a long time. and this long time cause battery broke down.
Battery on the computer was dead and did not charge up. So return item and still waiting for are refund to are america express. I have a store refund from store number 988 but still waiting for the refund. Soon I will sed a claim to American express for help. Please Walmart I need help................................
I purchased this item, not once, but twice over the course of a couple of weeks! The first time, I received a Mac w a battery that had no life or functionality! It wouldn’t charge last 1% and had to be plugged in to use it. So I returned it in hopes it was a fluke situation. NOPE! The replacement Mac came in and lo and behold, SAME exact issue. These Mac’s must be sitting on a shelf somewhere am just listening to battery power. Impossible to talk to someone directly from wal mart about this. Got to customer service, the agent didn’t have any insight except for to call APPLE. Which I did, only to find out that for some reason there’s no Apple care on a Mac purchased at wal mart. Only option is to take this new one back, again and not purchase from wal mart. Don’t buy a Mac book from wal mart.
Came with defective battery. This is old stock with expired batteries. Walmart wont accept it back as a return. Do not use paypal they will do nothing to help you. Walmart sold me e-waste and wont take responsibility for it. Do not be a victim too!
The computer does not work without being plugged into the charger! I got the Mac Book air for my college student. I called and needed to escalate the issue to a supervisor after over 30 minutes on hold and even then there were not many options. They finally said we can send a shipping label in 2-3 business days and it’s more than 3 days now and I haven’t received it. My son has no way to make it to Walmart as he is on campus with no vehicle. I expressed that class was starting the next day and they offered no means of expediting the issue and I would still need to wait until they received confirmation of the original computer at their facility. I had to get another computer meanwhile we are still waiting on the shipping label, spending double the money. It’s really disheartening because he’s 4 hours away and I feel helpless! Terrible customer service!!!
When opening the box upon arrival I was very excited to have a laptop to do my college work and other recreational activities on. I opened the macbook, and it would not turn on so I placed it on charge and it would work. i left it on charge for 24 hours and still would not turn on without the charger so i ended up having to send it to apple to be repaired. If you are going to buy, you should buy it from apple.
