The ball is round. Yellow. And bounces. Just what I expected
Pros: - I live out in the country and this handles the dirt ground very well - It's also easy to see if the wind out here in the country blows it somewhere on my property I can find it pretty easily. Cons: - It comes deflated (understandable), so you'll need a pump. A hand pump might take you a while, so if you have something bigger/faster to pump it, that'd be best.
It came deflated, and without a pump. Had I known it was going to come deflated and without a pump, then I would've bought a pump as well. Disappointed about that, but my daughter will be excited about her yellow basketball after I put air in it nonetheless.
Good quality for what it is.
Bought this for our 11 year old son for Christmas. Yellow is his favorite color so of course he loves it! The ball has to be blown up so you will have to use your air pump. Air pump is NOT included. I gave this a 4 rating because of this.
It's a basketball, came deflated, but I knew that buying it and we had what was needed to inflate ball. My kid has been using it. It's full size. Yeah good buy.
Have not received any complaints from gym members so that means it passed the test. Because basketball players can be pretty particular about their equipment.
Arrives without air. You'll need a good pump to inflate it. Luckily I have a top of the line Bell pump, but the pump wouldn't accept its own needle, which is intended to inflate balls. The needle was too narrow for the pump fitting. I have arthritic hands which are useless for tasks like this and the basketball was for a 6 year old girl. I had her older brother (age 10) wrap dental floss around the needle's tread until it fit snugly into the pump's housing. The MacGregor basketball has a cheap looking valve, but it inflated well and the child was satisfied with the results. A few months ago I bought two Wilson basketballs for the girl's older brothers. Wilson and Spaulding basketballs are pre-inflated so you avoid the hassle of having to do that until they're pounded beyond their bearing state. When one of the Wilson balls needed air we discovered that the pump had a flaw. That's when I bought two Spauldings for the boys and the MacGregor for the girl. All three brands apparently perform well, but retailers should inform consumers when a ball needs to be inflated upon arrival.
