I use two levels of earplugs simultaneously
I use two levels of earplugs simultaneously - 3M Disposable earplugs simultaneously with these outer earplugs from Macks. The child really likes these Mack's soft silicone waterproof earplugs because they stick to everything! This combination results in NRR is 32 decibels 23 decibels Result is 55 dB of passive noise suppression. I also sometimes wear additional passive noise suppression earmuffs simultaneously on top of these. Thanks!

water blocking works great, decent sound barrier
Works great, doesn't completely block noise but dulls down to a very low amount. Great for keeping ears dry when encountering water situations!

Don't waste your time and money on other products.
I've been using these Mack's silicon earplugs for 50 years now. Best product on the market, I know because I've tried them all! Easy to use, great seal and effective noise reduction. I give an unequivocal purchase recommendation, you can't go wrong.
