These are a great snack for those times when you just really need a zing. If you're trying to keep it clean there's probably an ingredient or two you may not be okay with.
I mostly eat keto, so pork rinds are my chips. I like these because they have a nice tangy, sour flavor. It helps cut through the rich, meaty, cheesy keto flavors of many keto meals. I enjoy them alongside wraps mostly.
I flagged this as would recommend, but buyer beware. The last time I bought some of these I got four bags and one bag was noticeably stale. Like the rinds were mushy, not crisp. The bag was puffed up full of air and was not leaking anything so I don't know what the deal was. Was not out of date either. The other ones seem fine so far but I had to knock off some stars for that.
MAC's Chicharrones used to be my go to snack treat, that is until Walmart came out with their generic product. The MAC's Chicharrones with the Salt ‘ Vinegar flavor was my favorite, but it wasn't always available on store shelves. My biggest complaint with the MAC's Chicharrones is the overly cooked (burnt?) pork rinds at the bottom of the packaging, which isn't always easy to spot until the package is opened. The burnt rinds leave a terrible taste in the mouth and some pieces are extra hard making it easy to chip or crack teeth. In a pinch, MAC's Chicharrones will do, and I recommend the product less than enthusiastically due to the burnt, extra hard pieces in the bottom of the bag.
These were good; but, a little stale. However, the staleness did not change the taste. Also - I ordered the Salt %26 Vinegar; but, I received the Salt and Pepper flavor.
They tasted pretty good, and a pretty good value however there were lots and lots of for me unchewable ones. There is a second category of pork rinds called cracklins there were too many cracklins in these.
These are great when you get a good bag but sometimes you get one that has way too much seasoning and they are not inspecting them very well because I always have a sandwich baggy full of hard burnt ones that you would break your teeth on trying to eat them. I only buy them when I can't get fresh ones from a festival because they are the only ones I've found that are even close to the taste. When I get a bag that is perfect I eat it all in one day.
These used to have a 5 star from me. when they tasted decent. but the last 5 bags that i had were awful. I keep giving them a try because they used to be my favorite, but now the bags are all too crunchy, they taste different. it's honestly.. just turned so awful recently.. It's one of the most disgusting things i've eaten tonight. my stomach actually hurts after eating a quarter of the bag. something is wrong with macs lately...
Cant give it a good review, you NEVER DELIVERED IT! You cancelled my order, again... because YOU were out of stock even after listing it as "in stock".
Most of the Salt and Vinegar ones I buy are regular flavor. I am so disgusted to keep buying and they are mislabeled. I've called the company and they were not concerned. All the pkgs I bought in Florida were correct, but the ones I've been buying in Arkansas are not. I've been buying these since before Covid so I know what I'm talking about.
