Easy to use. Great little machine for the price. We had one similar some years back and it had a peddle with it. This one does not come with one but has a spot to plug one in. We bought this mainly to do small projects and repairs.

My granddaughter loves this sewing machine. She's almost nine and she has been sewing all sorts of things. I'm glad she currently has an interest in sewing and that she will continue to learn more about this lost craft. This simple to operate sewing machine, and the guidance of both grandmas, has helped her maintain an interest in sewing.

My child absolutely loves the Made By Me Toy Sewing Machine! It was easy to set up and is a fun way to introduce kids to basic sewing skills. The machine is lightweight, kid-friendly, and comes with everything needed to get started. It kept my child engaged and excited to create her own little projects. A great beginner sewing machine for young crafters and a fun hands-on activity that encourages creativity and confidence.

I bought this for my 7 year old who always asks me to teach her to sew so I decided to get her her own one that she can use next to me. So this review is mostly based on her experience. She hated that the thread kept coming out of the needle once she tried to start sewing. The speed is slower than a regular sewing machine so that was nice and comfortable for her. She got to make some doll house bedding with the felt and filling that came with it. For me, I love that you don't have to stress and plug it up to the wall to use it. I sometimes need to do quick mending of small hole on their clothes and I'm not in the mood to plug my machine in and sit down at my craft table to use the foot pedal, so I just pick this little machine up and mend things wherever I'm comfortable. Recommended of your little one's first machine and for those small repairs here and there.

I am just not sure if it's a user error or a product issue. I feel like I say that a lot due to my personal experience in using sewing machines but I haven't had any luck in keeping this machine threaded or a way to get the tension set correctly. I haven't really went back over the directions again as I felt like I got more information from videos on YouTube. It was a gift for my granddaughter and so far she has been able to sew maybe 3 inches of a continuous stitch without the needle becoming unthreaded or the thread wadding up under the fabric. I appreciate the design for the age group intended. I am not a fan of the power button. I feel like a normal foot pedal would have been better suited. It's just really awkward to use. I don't feel confident in it being powered off so to speak that way either. The few stitches she has done were loose and sloppy honestly. If we find things get figured out to a more positive outcome I will update.

Needle eye is left to right, which is difficult to thread since you can't readily see the needle eye. A Dritz Needle Threader is your saving grace. There's nothing to keep the thread in the tensioner and so the thread often pops out of it. The angle of thread in the guides is not enough to keep the thread in the tensioner. Don't unscrew the needle clamp too far or the entire mechanism will fall off. Needle clamp is really hard to put back together due to really small parts. Machine is quite loud.

As an avid sewer myself, I bought this for my granddaughter as a simple first machine. I like that you can get cute, free patterns for simple projects online and has a needle guard. It seems to be well made and sewed well but was VERY difficult for a beginner to use. Since there is no foot pedal, it starts to sew as soon as you push the start button and doesn't stop until you turn it off. This makes it extremely hard to start/stop sewing safely or get nice beginning/ending stitches since you can only hold your project with one hand.

I just opened the package so I can wrap my daughter sewing kit and it was already used. It also has a reduced sticker on for way less than what I paid for the item. The seal is also broken. Did y'all send me a used/returned toy?My daughter is looking forward to Santa bringing her sewing kit and it will not be under the tree. I can not believe this would happen during Christmas.

Um, no footpedal? so it's literally useless. thanks for wasting my time. No footpedal, no powercord, i put batteries in but can't use it without the non-existent footpedal, so yea im returning this

I've been sewing my whole life and am very comfortable with a sewing machine. This thing does not work. The needle is threaded, everything SHOULD be good, but the needle gets jammed and looses the thread on the first stitch every time. I was excited for my kids to learn on an age appropriate machine but I should have just saved my money and taugh them on my own from the start.
