I am always skeptical about ordering products over the internet but I can tell you that ordering these stockings from Discount Surgical was one of the best purchases I have made. The product was delivered extremely fast and was exactly what I had requested. The quality of the product is also better then I anticipated. I highly recommend them and will definitively be a return customer.
Over the past year I have bought eight pairs of these stockings in four colors. I have found all to be well made, well fitting and as easy to put on as these things can get. All are still fine after many washings. Early on I bought one pair of Jobst stockings for comparison. The Jobst stockings are also an excellent product but I cannot find a difference that justifies their around three times higher price
These have been great socks so far. I have bad varicose veins so they are Dr. recommended. I have been using the more expensive brands, but decided to give these a try. I haven't been wearing them that long, so I can't say how long they will last, but for the same money as one pair of the more expensive brands you can buy three pair of these.
I have been purchasing these compression socks for several years. They have excellent compression choices, fit fairly well and are easy to care for. My only little complaint would be that only the black ones are shorter. The others are a bit too long but I can make do with them.
I used to wear the 20-30mmhg socks, however my Doctor recommended that I switch over to the 30-40mmhg. These socks fit fine and are comfortable to wear. I had a little trouble getting them to me, the web page claimed they were in stock, however they only had a few pair, so I ended up changing colors, no big deal, I only wear them for work anyway.
By all means, listen to the knowledgable people at Discount Surgical before buying these. In spite of what your doctor says, the 30-40mm compression socks or hose are a very serious piece of preventive clothing. Unless you have two or more strong men and maybe a boy around each morning, , don't even attempt to don these hose without professional help. You will seriously have a heart attack! Once again, these are serious hose. Try the 20-30 mm first, purchase a Medi-Butler or some type of donning aid before attempting to don these hose. Once again, pay attention to the experienced staff at Discount Surgical and above all, wear them in good health.
I like these A305 30-40mmhg socks for their dress appearance, but I've found that, for me anyway, the A301 Unisex sheers feel more supportive, which I need. But the A305 sox have a more normal sock feeling , are easier to put on, and hold up really well. I give them a 4 out of 5 because they fit me a little loose around the ankles. It does seem like Absolute Support changes the way the socks are made from one production run to another because they fit and feel differently from one order to the next.
In the past I have used the Sigvaris brand of socks and more recently the Medi bransd of compression socks, which are quite expensive, so I wondered how this brand of compression socks would feel, as they are considerably cheaper. They were okay but not quite as comfortable as the Sigvaris or Medi brand, so I will probably stick with them for the time being.
Followed the direction exactly and when i received item they were too small.
I am not Superman, and could not begin to put these powerful socks on. In fact I tried large, and then extra large, and had no luck and had to send them back. Before you try these things, better make sure you are strong enough to open them up to put on. The store gives no hint of how to do it, and I am sure once on they would feel good, but meantyime I am out of luck.
