Magic Chef 3.0 cu ft Compact Upright Freezer, Stainless Steel

Needed more space than our current fridge/freezer provides on a daily basis and this Magic Chief fits the bill. Arrived days before expected in well packaged boc, no dents, nicks or scratches. Been on for 4 weeks now and at setting 4 gives a temperature of 0 degrees. Now we stock up on meat that goes on sale.

This freezer is just the right size for us. It's small but holds more than you would think. It came very quickly and in perfect condition. We have only had it a short time so I can't rate it on the long term performance yet, but it is working out great.

I love my upright freezer. About 2 months ago you could not find this size freezer no where. They were all sold out. The second wave of this virus is suppose to hit us later October or November. I suggest anyone looking for a freezer to buy ASAP. I feel comfortable buying more food because I now have more room

I've had this freezer for 2 days now, and so far so good! It arrived in good shape except for a small dent on the back, and it's a lot roomier than I expected. Other reviewers mention the door not closing, but mine is working perfect. It went up to temperature within hours, and is still holding well. And the first night, I kept going over and putting my hand on it to make sure it was still running, that's how quiet it is. I will update in the future!

Being a single senior this freezer is the perfect size for me. I got the upright so that I wouldn't have to bend over and dig thru foods. It has turned out great for me. It is setting on a very sturdy table that puts it up just the right height for me. I have not yet had to defrost it, so can't refer to that procedure...it is not frosting at all yet, but food is being kept perfect.

Very happy with this purchase makes very little noise very spacious made very well look's nice not cheap. I am very happy that we went with this model very compact so good for someone with not a lot of extra room. Actually holds alot more food than I thought it would. Would buy again.

I needed a little more freezer space in my apartment. This freezer is very quiet and works well. I was able to find a basket to fit each shelf to maximize the space available. The driver who delivered it opened the box in my living room and carried it to the space where I wanted it. I knew to leave it sit for 24 hours for the freon in the compressor to settle. The only downside is even though I knew it was a manual defrost freezer, I did not expect the frost to collect so much close to the door on the top shelf. I am surprised about this since I seldom open it. I bought a freezer thermometer and it keeps a steady temperature and works well. If I need to add food or take something out, I remove the basket I need and close the door. It works well this way. I would recommend it to a friend.

I ordered this freezer to store meat and frozen foods during the pandemic. It’s been a blessing. I like that it’s black and stainless because it’s in a corner of my apartment. I like that the door opens in front like a mini fridge. The top two shelves are roomy. The bottom shelf is smaller. Basically it’s a good overflow freezer for my tiny apartment. It arrived with some shipping damage dings but since it was still operational, I kept it and Walmart took some money off rather than have me return it. Happy with it.

I bought this to store breastmilk in so it wouldn’t take up so much room in my regular freezer. I set it up like I was supposed to (let it sit for a few hours before plugging it in, then plugging it in and slowly decreasing the temperature over about 24 hours before putting anything in there). I put it on the coldest setting to make sure the milk would stay frozen. Within 48 hours of the milk being in there it all started to get soft. I had to move everything back to my regular freezer but I left one bag of milk in there just to see if it would thaw completely. 24 hours after that it was completely thawed, and not even super cold. I ended up having to return this. But I will say that the rep that helped me with the return on the phone made the return process very easy for me. But it wasn’t worth the money at all. It’s basically a mini fridge, not a mini freezer.

Nice looking, good size for us, and seemed to be a good value, but.... The freezer stopped working after only 3 months of normal use in our kitchen. We had to throw out all of our food and clean out the gross smell, etc. to defrost it, clean it, and try to restart it and see if it would work again. Now, we can hear that the motor is on and working, but it does not cool at all! Waste of our money and food money and lots of our time.
