I am very pleased with this dehydrator. I used it to make my dog air dried dog food from turkey, veggies, sweet potato, egg and oatmeal. I just spread out the ground ingredients and in 6 to 7 hours I had a great result. Broke it up into pieces and my dog loved it. I can make 3 pounds of dog food in one cycle. Air dried dog food is dense so dogs eat a lot less than standard kibble. The machine is roomy with its 7 trays and the noise it makes is quite tolerable. Not disturbing at all. Love it!
This is a medium sized very well made item. It does the job very well. I made dog treats out of real meat and this does the job well. For what it is it is very lightweight. I'm a senior and can lift and move with no problem. This is small enough to fit in one of my cabinets.
This was ready to go as soon as it was unboxed. It is stainless steel inside and out. I didn't realize it was deeper than it was wide, but that doesn't seem to affect functionality. I started with some zucchini chips to test it out. Setting the time and temperature is simple, much like with air fryers. Press Time/Temp once for time, once for temp, and once more for time! The trays are spaced far enough apart to accommodate most cuts. I tried croutons, and the one piece of bread was a little too thick at ¾, so I trimmed it. Since the day I received it was one of the hottest on record, I set it on the back porch to keep the extra heat out of the house. However, on a regular day, it doesn't generate enough heat for the A/C unit to handle. The sound is as advertised, 49 dB. Nice and quiet! Overall, an exciting first purchase of a dehydrator!
Packed very well. Directions brief but clear. Small footprint on countertop. Haven't used it yet, but so far it is fantastic.
Works very well nice build plenty of trays and easy to clean.
Very uniform drying on all racks. Happy with purchase.
Awesome!!!!
I made beef jerky in this pretty dehydrator in just one hour, using 3 trays, seperated from each other, and cooked at 160 degrees. Came out tender, and chewy. It is a healthy great snack for the dogs, soaked overnight in orange juice, only. No soy sauce for dogs. They love the long strips. They think they went to heaven getting these healthy snacks. It makes me happy to know they eat the good stuff, made with love.
After using this so much at home, we bought it again for my boyfriend's brother, and now again for the brother in law- as the family is starting to compete. Very convenient and good quality for the price. Not the most aesthetic, but worth it
I have only used it twice so far so cannot comment on durability. digital numbers are hard to make out between 0 and 8. so far so good. even and thorough drying.
