The extra-strength magic shaving powder is the only thing my husband uses. Nothing works better for him and his skin type. I don't know why you discontinued this product, but can you bring the extra strength back for the millions of African American and African male customers who depend on it for a smooth shave without razor bumps?
I've been using Magic Shave Powder for over 30 years. It's one of the only products that consistently prevented razor bumps and allowed for a clean, professional shave with coarse hair. That's not a minor preference - that's a functional solution I've relied on for decades. I've tried the creams, and they are not a true replacement. The performance is not comparable. Discontinuing the powder removes a product that clearly served a real need for a long-standing, loyal customer base. I'm asking you to seriously reconsider this decision or bring the powder back in some form. There are very few alternatives that work the same way - and many of us have depended on it for years.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE this so much, I wish more people knew about it. Very hard to find in stores or if so they are WAY overpriced. Ive been using this for a couple years and i will never not use this. I always tell people about magic shave. Please NEVER STOP MAKING THIS🩷🩷💞 Ive seen people complain about the smell and its not that bad at all compaired to other hair removal products. but literally just like a incense or candle and youll be fine 🤪 seriously lol
My whole family, including my husband who introduced us to the product, have been using Magic Shaving Powder, mainly the Red, for decades. It is the only product that gives us all, but mainly my husband a clean shave. For him it is the ONLY thing that works. The cream does NOT give a clean shave and gives him burns because he has to leave it on so long. We do not know why you would have discontinued this product but I am sure that it is one of your bestselling ones particularly among black men, for whom there are no other options for coarse hair prone to ingrowing. If it is too expensive to manufacture raise the price point but don't discontinue we beg you. We realise that the decision has already been made but we besiege you to reconsider and reinstate. You need to display loyalty to your steadfast customer base who have supported this product since the inception of it's manufacture.
We're extremely disappointed the shaving powder line has been discontinued. The shaving cream is not as effective and we haven't been left with an equivalent alternative. Here's to hoping the company reconsiders or another company purchases the formula.
I've been a loyal customer for 38 years (since 1988) when I started shaving in high school. Still have the bowl and spatula my mom gave me to mix it. Not sure why the company would stop making the red can. Nothing else works for me as I have tried all the others. Please bring this back!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product for over 15 years and it has been the best ever. And I don't know what has happened to the product and why they stop making it or selling it. It has been the best shaving experience that I ever had buy using the powder in the red and blue can. I loved the results that I get from using it than the razor. I wish you can please reconsider selling it again.
I've been loyal to this red can for over 30 plus years. My dad used it for years, I used it for years. The magic shave red can powder was my go-to in my arsenal of grooming products. It's very disappointing to know that someone in your company made a very unprofitable decision to scrap a working product that's been giving your company steady profits for years and replace it with pre-mixed in a tube that doesn't work effectively at all. I get it CEO profit over people. But just remember ...you cant profit if there's no people. Your company should take a lesson from that Twinkie situation as well. The public wanted it back and once it did come out, the ingredient makeup oh the product was different and loyal customers knew it right away. So I said I like to say.... That red can in a tube is your Twinkie.
Please, please, please Bring the red can back its all i can use and have used for the last 40 years. I am a faithful faithful customer that nothing else have worked for my skin I have tried everything that available over the years and it's nothing new other them your magic cream. But it's not removing my hair and it's burning my skin Sooooo bad. I have a very mature and coarse beard I mean extremely coarse and the red can is the only thing that can give me satisfactory without me getting razor bumps and without me getting the skin irritation it's imperative and utmost important that you bring this product back is there anything I can do to help financially if that is the case please reach out so we can discuss this issue I will help with an investment if need be but I need this desperately!
It is deeply concerning that your corporation elected to discontinue the Magic Shave Powder line without fully evaluating the impact on your long-standing consumer base. This decision appears to have been made with an emphasis on profit rather than on the needs of the customers who have relied on this product for decades. I have used the red can formula since I began shaving, and at 61 years old, I can say with certainty that its absence has created a significant hardship. The effects on the Black male community—who have consistently supported your brand—are substantial and clearly underestimated. Your cream-based shaving products are not adequately formulated to remove coarse hair, and they require follow-up razor use, which inevitably leads to razor bumps and skin irritation. I strongly urge you to reconsider and reverse this decision. For many Black men, Magic Shave Powder is not simply a preference—it is the only effective option available. The forced return to razors is already resulting in noticeable skin damage, and this outcome is entirely avoidable. Your consumers deserve better consideration than what this decision reflects.
