At the price I snagged this for this toy is a steal. Magnets just strong enough to 'click' together but no where near safety hazard. I'd say each piece can hold weight of 1-2 underneath. Much smaller pieces than I thought

The picture is very misleading in how big these blocks are. I was between these and the magnetiles and now I wish I would have bought the other. They are very small. I bought them for my 3 yo.
