The light has good output, with variable brightness an color shades. It requires a power supply, 5v cube. that is not supplied. Overall l, I'm satisfied.

This magnifying light is super. It saves me a lot of time and helps my eyes not work so hard finding what I need to find.. everyone should have one of these on hand. They're really great.

My husband lost a lot of his vision after a stroke last year. This helps him to see smaller craft projects he is working on. It really helps.

excellant product. I had a stroke that blinded my left eye and my right eye is 20/60 due too a previous retnal detachment. My point being I've had much experience using this magnifying glass totally adjustable, hild position well with adjustment knobs. The weighted base is too light to hold it stable.....solution %231 - clamp base to table %26 %232 - I cut the edge trim off the table so the smaller footprint clamp securely holds it. Yes a beautiful designed table is aestheticly ruined . I don't care about that.....This magnifyer also has multple lighting settings for all situations.

the light is great and the magnifying is also great... but... the base is too lightweight. you'll need to use something heavy to use for positions. wish base was 2 to 5 pounds heavier.

I haven't used the lamp yet. HOWEVER, I find it a little bit tedious that the best thing I can plug it into is a portable charger. Because the cord is way too short to plug into a wall.

I was a little disappointed that the arm does not stay extended the way it showed in the picture. The turn knobs/wing nuts, do not tighten enough to hold the arm straight. It also tips because the weight does not hold it properly grounded, so I had to find a way to hook it to the side of the desk but still had issues with the arms. The magnifier and light are okay, but you have to hold it because the arm wants to go up. There is no wing nut at the bottom to hold it tightly in the down position. My husband wants to keep it because he needs the magnifying glass and light and puts a weight on the arm to hold it still. I only recommend it because it has possibilities with a few modifications. As seniors we sometimes need a light like this to see small print, but it is hard to use hands-free at certain positions.

This product requires external power. It has a cord with a USB connector but does not come with a power supply to convert 120 volts AC to the required 5 Volts DC to power the product. The provided pamphlet states that the unit requires 5 Volts at 8 Watts power. If one was educated/trained in electronics, one would know that the DC output of a power supply is rated in Amperes (Amps). And one could convert the 8 W power requirement to Amps: 1.6 Amps (Amps = Watts/Voltage). I have 6 power supplies with USB connectors. 2 rated at 1 Amp, 2 rated at 0.5 Amps and 2 rated at 0.055 Amps (all for cell phones). None of these can provide the required power. Using an under rated power supply is dangerous! Could cause a fire or electrical hazard. So, now I have to buy one with the proper current (Amps) rating.
