It does seem to cook a little quicker than my old waffle iron. It is so easy to clean. It is pretty enough to keep it on my counter.

This is a classic thin American style waffle maker, not the thick Belgium style waffles. The classic style is very difficult to find, but exactly the style waffle my family prefers. Just the right thickness. It has a lovely pale turquoise color. It will store standing upright IF you have a tall cupboard since it is quite long. The plates are not removable but it makes one large square waffle that consists of 4 small waffles. The indicator lights are a bit difficult to see but it has a green indicator when it is ready to cook, and green again when time is up. There is no sound. Note the unit does need to be manually rotated after putting your batter in. Flip it again once cooked. The automatic timing gives a nice crispy golden brown waffle. Just what we wanted. No real cleanup and no mess for me. I did season it before my first use.

Love this, its not belgian waffles but the original, non thick style which i love. I time when to open myself, kids like sticking them in the toaster and getting that little crunch but soft on the inside. Just wish you could take out the plates to wash and clean any crumbs that have gotten stuck in between
