Maille Originale Dijon Mustard, 7.5 oz Jar

This has a bold, true Dijon flavor with some kick. No wonder it comes in such a small jar! I would use this primarily for cooking or to be diluted in a sauce. Use sparingly if you are going to put it on a sandwich or similar since it is very potent.

I like mustard. I like horseradish. I like wasabi. They're all members of the same botanical neighborhood, which occasionally leaves me wondering why my cabbage needs additional mustard. It gets some anyway, particularly when corned beef is involved. Yellow mustard has its place, but sometimes I want mustard to assert its presence rather than merely provide a yellow stripe. There are plenty of Dijon mustards now, including versions from companies whose primary occupation seems to be making yellow mustard. I've tried a number of them, and Maille consistently lands where I want Dijon to be. It has enough spice and bite to announce itself, balanced by the tang and acidity of the wine vinegar without either taking over. It works equally well on a sandwich, in a dressing, or incorporated into a sauce where ordinary yellow mustard would seem to have arrived underdressed. The cabbage may not technically need its relative invited to dinner, but the corned beef certainly appreciates it.

I've been using this mustard ever since my brother told me how good it is. He's absolutely right, it's got an authentic "Dijon" taste but more highly refined, with a bit of a kick to it, it's really delicious for any use: Emulsifier in salad dressings, on a roasted pork tenderloin, on Roast beef, corned beef or pastrami sandwiches! There are so many ways to use this and I can't recommend it highly enough.

It is hands down the BEST Dijon mustard around! The heat level is perfect - it goes well on a sandwich or when cooking - Dijon with Chicken or Flank Steak is amazing! The others are good, but this is the BEST!! I'm so happy that my Walmart carries it for delivery!

Maille Dijon Mustard - Great product! Perfectly balancd and smooth, not bitter with good mutard heat and taste.Versatile. Prefer over Grey Poupon. Maille is a "Go To" mustard. Not sure if made from all black mustard seeds as a true Dijon " Moutard" labled mustard is by French law. but still a very good Dijon style mustard. Note: Grey Poupon in US is also NOT labled as "Moutard". Given the choice, go with Maille. Fairly priced.

The best! I am a mustard freak. This is the best I've found. Forget all the other ones at the grocery store.

Maille Dijon mustard tastes great. It has the great flavor I'm looking for. It's made with good ingredients and has the perfect consistency. It actually smells like Dijon mustard. I would definitely recommend it.

Maille Originale Dijon is delicious. I have recently started using it because my daughter uses and loves it. I am glad that I made the switch to Maille.

This Maille dijon mustard is the only dijon we use. It has a zip and a spice that we associate with strong mustard. As far as I know, it's the only dijon sold without added sugar. Although, why sugar would be wanted in a spicy mustard is for food companies to explain. This size is pricey, so I removed one star for that. The mustard itself is top notch

Awful aftertaste.. reminds me of spray paint or paint thinner. At first, for a split second, it has a slightly pleasant taste, but it very quickly does a 180° and becomes revolting when the aftertaste kicks in. Had to throw the whole thing out, unfortunately.
