This was amazing! My electricity went out and its was so hot! So I needed a battery operated fan that would actually cool me off, this was it. The only con was batteries and even that wasnt to bad. I purchased 2 packs of D batteries and it lasted for a long time.

Of course it uses size D batteries, and it uses eight size D batteries, but it's no problem getting these from the $.99 only store. There is also a 9 V adapter. What I like about this is I can put this anywhere where it is needed during the time of year when I can get by with running a fan rather than my air conditioner, and it provides a nice cool breeze. The original shipment had been damaged and that fan would not turn on. Not their fault, the item had been damaged during shipping. The replacement works beautifully. And they provided a replacement fairly rapidly, so that was appreciated. My only regret with this item is that I wish there were some other way of providing the battery power for the unit, like a rechargeable laptop style battery. Maybe I can find rechargeable D size batteries, I find that size cumbersome. I will have to see how long these batteries last. But I am very pleased with the strong current of air that comes from the fan even at a low setting

I read lots of review on Walmart.com before choosing to purchase this fan. Of course, there are always good reviews and bad reviews, and sometimes it's hard to know, because they can't all be true, right? Well, let me tell you, I absolutely love this fan! It feels like good quality; it looks like good quality; it performs like good quality. At other stores, I expect it would sell for quite a lot more money. I have the fan sitting next to me at my computer so I can use it while I work, and it is wonderful. For a small fan, it puts out a lot of air, and it saves my life on a daily basis. I'm always hot, and having this little gem right by me when I'm working has been such a blessing since I received it a couple of weeks ago. It required no assembly. The power button is easy to use: turn it on, and the fan starts on high. Push the button again for low, and push it again to turn the fan off. Easy! I never take the time to write product reviews, but I just had to this time. I am very happy with my purchase, and I would highly recommend this fan!

I like this fan a lot. Im one of those that sleep with a fan on and as much as I like my big stand up fan, it does get in my way when making my bed and cleaning my floors. I dont have alot of room so compact fans weren't an option because they are so bluky. This fan is thin enough to set on my small night stand and tall enough to get the full effect of the freash air. It's plenty powerful enough I use it on the low setting. What I also Really like is the option of being able to run it off batterys. I camp a lot and this will be perfect for inside my tent.

these are the best fans, small and quiet, yet give lots of air. Have not used on batteries yet but summer is coming and I will be prepared if power goes off. I bought the black one earlier last year ( white was gone) and was very pleased with it. before getting this one I found another ac/battery fan about 8.00 less and got that. It has a high pitch whine especially on high. So I use that one to bring in fresh air in another room. I learned my lesson and these are the fans I will use.

This fan is great so far. It has quite a few pros and only 1 real con. Some of the things I really like about it are the size, it's small enough to take anywhere but big enough to create a pretty good wind especially since it has such a wide pivoting range. I also really like the fact that you can take it anywhere because it can run on batteries or the AC adapter that it comes with. The ultra slim design, nice look, pretty quiet motor, awesome button feel and convenience are also things I'd put in the Pro column. There is only really one thing I can think that would make this better and that would be more speed settings because it only has two which works fine for me but I can see some people wanting more. Basically, I highly recommended this fan! I can't wait to actually use it for camping this summer!!

This fan is really convenient to take along. It saved the day on a 4-day camping trip with temperatures in the high 80s and low 90s. The batteries held up just fine and aren't needing to be changed yet. Now that I'm home, I'm using it on the cord to keep comfortable in my computer room. It's not as powerful as an older box fan that I have, but it does the job. And it doesn't blow my papers around like the old fan.

I love this little fan. I'm using it at work for when I run machines that make me very hot and sweaty. It's perfect because it runs on batteries. My boyfriend and I also agreed that it would be nice to take camping with us. I was surprised at how nice it is and runs. It has a push button for high or low. It's adjustable and can be aimed further up or down as needed. I'm glad it also came with a plug for me to use when I need it at my desk and won't need to use the batteries all the time. It's a very nice 10 inch portable fan and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Excellent fan for camping, for staying in vacation rentals, and the battery operation is perfect for power outages. We used the two we bought during a three (3) day blackout in 80-90 degree heat, and they cooled down the entire living room at night, simply by placing them in the windows. Definitely a worthwhile product at a good price.
