This cookie sheet works very good. This is a large size cookie sheet, the measurements are seventeen inches in length by eleven inches in width. This Pan is perfect for cookies, home-made pizza, or just about anything you can bake. It has a durable non-stick finish which is something I really love about this product. The non-stick finish makes baking do much easier without having food stick to the Pan or using butter or Pam. This large cookie sheet has a lifetime guarantee. This Pan is also dishwasher safe, easy release and clean-up. This large cookie sheet is a must have for your kitchen.
First impressions was pan is solid, meaning not some cheap flimsy pan.Pan has no trouble with heat and works well and no warping here. Mainstays pan is easy to clean and taking care of will last a good long time. Mainstays pan is also at a great price. I've been cooking fish sticks, chicken, and whatever I want to on it with no problems.
As a brand I like Mainstays products in general because they are competitively price and typically of very high quality. I own and have owned several of their products and can't think of one that I have been unhappy with. In Home Economics we would have called this a jelly roll pan. I assume it is no longer called that because no one makes jelly rolls any longer. I use this pan to make everything from cookies to pizza. It works well for hot rolls and as a flat sheet to go under pie pans and frozen lasagna. It says it is dishwasher safe but I have found that the non-stick surface lasts longer if it is hand washed. I have owned this very item before this new one and it has lasted ten years. I would recommend this baking sheet to anyone who is looking for an all-purpose baking pan. A friendly tip though; if you notice that things on this pan look dark or burned on the edge, then turn your oven down 25 degrees. It is because the dark color of the pan holds more heat than a silver pan does causing things to cook just slightly faster.
This quarter sheet pan (17.25"L X 10.25"W X 1.0" H) really is fantastic. I am surprised by the weight that it has. I expect it to be around for a long time. It's sturdy, & the coating is on there very well. Often I'll cover or coat a cookie sheet, but I didn't need to do that with this Mainstays cookie sheet. The cookies slipped right off & not a single one of them brunt nor did they even get close. This size pan is great because it is large enough to make quite a few different things. I have been using the quarter sheet pan for many years, as it is handy for more than cookies & pastries. I have a great beef & broccoli recipe that I'll make this month, & will also dry out some corned beef brisket this weekend for Sunday Breakfast. Usually I line my non coated pan with foil & spread around a little oil. I don't feel that I will need to with the great coating on this pan. Uniform heating & cooling is important in your pans & this sheet pan doesn't have any soft or thin spots, like some pans can. The sides are rigid & hold up very well. It is dishwasher safe if you need to put it in there. I just washed it by hand, nice & easy.
I've always used the kind of cookie sheets with no sides. However, sometimes I need a cookie sheet pan to bake things other than cookies. I received the Mainstays Large Cookie Sheet Pan and am quite pleased with it. The size is just right-17 inch x 11 inch with side about 1 inch tall all around the pan. This pan is great for jelly rolls and items that may have “juice" that drains during the baking process because of the sides. Although the “sticker" that contains all the information and directions is firmly attached to the pan, I was pleasantly surprised how easily it came off without leaving residue. This pan is made in the USA and is made of steel. It has a “nonstick" coating. So, you should not use metal utensils on it because it will scratch. Also, I think it is better to just give a quick hand wash with mild detergent and thoroughly dry it rather than put it in the dishwasher. I also recommend using parchment paper. But, that's just my preference. The pan is a darker color and I think it helps with even heating. I made a batch of my biscuit dough wrapped meat and cheese balls. As you can see in the picture, they browned and puffed nicely on this cookie sheet pan. I think if you're looking for a cookie sheet pan to bake a variety of things, this is a good pan to get.
For being a cheaper product, it is rather trying to think of the word higher quality than it's not like real cheap. It's not like the best stuff but it's it's it's good and it's sturdy and it works very well.
Everything about this item is 5 star except that it needs to come with a warning. I live in senior housing with government standard appliances. Turns out that our stoves are 1/2” narrower then the length of this large sheet. That was a very unpleasant surprise to me. Totally unusable as the only way to fit the sheet in my oven was at an angle and being nonstick, any items on the sheet would automatically slid down and either merge together or drop off into the stove :(
Okay, so it has been a while since I have had a nice non-stick cookie sheet. I have been using my grandmother’s old cookie sheets, which are really good and stood the test of time. But, they are not non-stick. So, everytime I use them I line them with foil, so I don’t have to do the heavy duty clean up of soaking and scraping. With Mainstays large cookie sheet pan, there is no foil required. Whatever I put in the oven on this cookie sheet does not have to be scraped off. It’s really nice. There is no soaking necessary, either. In fact, all it ever seems to need is soap, water, and some soft or even gentle cleaning with a dishcloth or sponge or even your hand. The main clean up is the grease or oil from whatever I cook, which only requires soap; no tough, long drawn out cleaning. The sides are raised about an inch for anything that may have liquid on it, like grease from cooking bacon. The pan is thick, not thin and flimsy. Of course, you cannot use metal utensils on it or you could scratch the wonderful non-stick surface. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because it would have been nice to have the dimensions of the pan etched into the bottom of it. I’m not a super cook and I cannot just eyeball a pan and know the measurements of it.
I bought 2 of these. One has been absolutely trash, the other just okay. both hsve gotten some sort of stains on them that will not come off. I've spent too much of my life already trying to clean them. One is still usable, but the other just traps everything.
It warps in the oven, so badly every time I use it that I'm scared to put a full pan worth on it. If I only have 3 chicken breast I would rather cram it on my smaller one in case it warps and drops any of them! Awful product
