These work great in my vacuum sealer (FoodSaver) and cost quite a bit less than the Food saver brand. They don't have the white area to write on but I write on the bags before I put the contents in and vacuum seal them anyway so it isn't a big deal for me...I'd rather save money! These Mainstay ones actually seem a little thicker but they seal up just fine so no worries there. I will be using these from now on, I live alone but when there are good sales on meats, fruits and veggies I can freeze I can use these bags with confidence. I haven't tried them as a boil-in-bag yet or a microwave steam bag but they are BPA free plastic so they are at least safe to have next to your food!...I will probably get the 8 inch ones too as soon as I run out of that size. These would be great for packaging wild game harvest!

These vacuum seal bags work amazing especially for being so cheap! You get to chose your own size for the product your using. Stores the food/ product great!

You, you're not able to cut them where the marks were so it kind of looked weird. On top of that you had to seal two sides instead of just one like you do with the bags. I really didn't like them and I won't buy those again. Buy the bags from now on.

The mains- Great value. Seals well. Look nice, feels nice. The suck- maybe it's not meant for my commercial grade machine… but I've tried several other brands bags and they've all done fine if not great with my vacuum sealer. These just don't get as tight and leave pockets of air. I've tried moving things around that I'm sealing and it's like the bag doesn't want to “give” or “move”. It's strange. I've tried different items, how I placed them in, I've let others give it a go and it just isn't it. Not a lot of air left behind but more than I would like. I mainly use this for meat products and in comparison after a few weeks and months you can spot these bags out of the rest. I really wanted to like them at the price point but not for the longevity I need when freezing meats and not wanting crystals and freezer burn. Maybe they are good for other things. But I can't recommend them for freezing different meats.

the box these come in is awful to open. When i was able to get into the box with the glue seal, no box left to store the roll in if i didnt want it in my vaccuum seal.

Doesn't keep a tight vacuum seal.

Do not waste your money. They may be less expensive than the name brand but they don't keep the vacuum seal. Sometimes they work initially but as soon as the machine releases the bag the seal breaks and air gets in. Sometimes you can't even get them take out all the air and seal them up.

Bags are wrinkled and creased on the roll. This makes it nearly impossible for the vacuum sealer to create a good seal. You can visibly see the creases in the seal after sealing, and watch air being sucked back into bags. If they were actually flat and not creased they would likely work ok.

I cannot recommend these bag rolls. I bought a pack and just now had to redo 5 bags I made yesterday. The bags are not flat on the rolls leaving wrinkles and when sealed, these wrinkles leave channels that air seeps back in over time.
