This is a very simple heater. It has three heating rods which use 500 WPH, each. You have three settings. The heating and consumption is 1, at 0.5 Kwh, 2, at 1.0 kwh, and 3, at 1.5 kWh. It has no fan. The closer you get, the hotter it is. However, using a ceiling fan directed upward for winter, it distributes the heat well in the room. When the temperature gets below 50 f, I use two in the 14 by 18 living room, one at each end. One is set at 1.5 kwh and the other, at .5. by the point the temperature is below 45, I set one at 1.5 and the other at 1.0.
During the recent winter storms, we were unable to get additional propane in our tank for heating. We relied on these little heaters and found them to be invaluable. They helped to keep the pipes and us from freezing until we were able to operate our furnace again. We would recommend.
I love this heater! It's so perfect for a small area. I use it on my patio and it's perfect! It's great for a personal up close heater. I also use it in my office, which is 8x12 and it's always nice and toasty. Will it warm a bigger room, no, but it's worth it. I have a wall in my office that is just windows and keeps me so warm. I've already had some friends buy one and they love it too! Get it!
The heater is 13" wide, 24" tall, 5" deep. Radiant infrared heaters warm what's directly in front of them, they don't warm the air or an entire room. I'm sitting three feet away and it's very warm with three elements on at the medium setting. It's completely silent, easy to carry, and cheaper than oil, gas, propane.
Oh My Gish! I'm soooo in love with these heaters. I have bought two and thinking about going to get another one. The run so smooth, you don't even know that they are on. The heat is pretty good too. It keeps the rooms warm and toasty like I want. Since they have three controls for the amount of heat, I adjust as needed. It's the quietness that I'm in love with.
This is a wonderful heater! We actually saw a local restaurant using this heater for patio dining to keep customers warm along with patio heaters due to indoor dining restrictions. It not only looks nice, it gives significant heat even on the lowest setting! Its light and easily portable from room to room. We also plan to bring it on our patio when we do sit outside on chilly nights. The price is really reasonable! I definitely it hope it lasts a few winters!
I use this heater for my bedroom and two others for the rest of my house since I have natural gas and don't like paying for both the gas and electric. This is a decent heater for the price but if they're all like mine then I'm sure people will agree with me that the thermostat is off, the temperature went from 34 degrees to 69 the next day and I had to turn it down, isn't it suppose to adjust on it's own? I have had to adjust it multiple times so I guess it's best for cold weather only.
We bought 2, returned BOTH within 4 months because both had electrical malfunctions and stopped turning on. It is a shame because the one we bought before this, which they dont sell at Wal-Mart anymore, lasted us 7 years. I'm returning and going with a different brand.
Heater worked great for 1 winter. Really heats up a nice sized room in a short while but cant warm up an entire house by itself. Tried to use it for a second winter it started shorting out trying to shoot sparks. So it actually only worked for about 3 months then threatens to set my house on fire while Im asleep. I wouldnt recommend its a dangerous and unreliable product from my experience.
This heater almost caught my house on fire. It does not have a safety turn off and ended up blowing out my outlet. You cannot fully turn off this heater without unplugging it. If you leave it plugged in, it stays on even though it appears to be turned off. This heater is not worth the money and is completely unsafe
