Yes, it is impossible to see the hands as they are. However, I took it apart (all of 30 seconds with a small screwdriver) and spray painted the hands with white paint (masking the rest of the face with newspaper). They came out a light coppery color and are very visible. Can't beat it for under $12.

I really like this clock. Love the gears showing, and the design of the face. Large, easy to read. Old-fashioned looking, like clocks from long ago. Love the large size. I would recommend this clock. I really love, love, love this clock! I had my eye on it for a while but already had a few clocks and wanted to be sensible and decided not to buy it just yet. So I was super excited when it came up on Sparks Review! The picture I took does not do it justice, but the design is awesome. I really love the look. It adds so much to the house and really pops. It is quiet which I love, no annoying loud ticking which can drive you crazy at times. And it runs on 1 AA battery which is great. It does not feel super sturdy or heavy, but it looks solid and sturdy which is great. Was very easy to hang on the wall and seems secure. So far it is keeping accurate time which hopefully will continue. I have had some clocks that do not keep accurate time after a while. Only had this clock about a week or so, but so far so good. I would definitely recommend this clock! It is well priced too especially considering how nice it looks. Go buy it!

This is very nice decorative clock. I have received several compliments on it. The only slightly negative thing I would say is that it is smaller than it looked in the picture.. I also thought the gears moved. Other than that I am very happy with the product.

I am really surprised by this Gear Wall Clock, it is beautiful, lightweight and works great without making a lot of noise and easy to hang. Looks like this clock was painted by hand, giving this clock a beautiful finish, it matches with any decor. Love how this clock has big numbers makes it easy to see from far away, overall the design of this clock is beautiful. It only needs 1 AA battery.

This is an excellent clock! I've purchased a few of these and they always arrive in good condition and do not have any issues with defects or telling accurate time. I will likely purchase again in the future. The wall clock also looks amazing added to other decor.

This is a super clock for what I paid for it. From afar the clock hands are hard to see and I am considering painting them like other reviewers. I'm very happy with it. I did notice that it does make a slight tic noise, but it's barely noticeable.

This wall clock comes in a bronze color. It has big Arabic numbers so that you won't have trouble seeing them. I feel like it should have came with a light so that it can illuminate it at night. The hand dials are gold in color. It uses one AA battery that is not included. Its easy to set the clock. It comes with Instructions for mounting. And best of all, it goes with my decor.

So this is just a cute little plastic clock. The closer you are, the more you can tell that the 'gears' are one solid plastic piece. But from farther away, it does look very nice and adds character to the room. I am a little concerned with how well it will hold up, it felt very flimsy while I was trying to put the battery in and I don't think it would survive a fall from the wall. But hey, it keeps good time and I like the design. I will also note the hands are a gold color that I found was very easy to see from all around my room, up to 35 ft away I had no trouble telling what time it said from any angle. The numbers are big and clear as well.

Honestly, in many settings this clock would be just fabulous. It looks really wonderful in good lighting The problem I have is the fact it is difficult to see the antique golden hands against that face (since it is open and has those gears) I really like the way it looks as an art piece but trying to see the time in dim light (be that early morning or evening is nearly impossible). I am 65 and for my age have good vision but I am sure if I were younger this wouldn't be such an issue
