very quite came in handy at summer

I purchased a couple of these to replace others we had that eventually broke down. They are very sturdy, easy to assemble, and an excellent value as they're under $18 each! I am very satisfied with them and I'm purchasing another one as we need a 3rd one for the home!

The Mainstays 16" stand fan seems to put out a decent amount of air. I needed a low priced stand fan to replace an all metal Holmes fan I had for fourteen years. I honestly don't expect this new one to last that long and was worried about buying an off brand fan, however this fan really surprised me by it's decent build quality for the price, air movement, and it's fairly quiet. I deducted one star because the blade set could be better balanced. One of the features that is a plus is the plug has an easy to replace fuse unlike some manufacturers whom mold them into the plug making them useless should the fuse blow prematurely.

nice fan. it gets the job done because I hate being hot especially when I'm sleeping so it keeps me cool. the only reason why I give it 4 stars is because sometimes it will get loud and then quite again but other than that it's pretty good.

I ordered the black one online and tried to put it together, but the thumb screw was bent and the motor housing unit will not stay on the pole securely. I tried to email customer service, but there is spelling errors in the manual and the email address is not valid. I tried to call the number, but due to high call volume, I gave up. I will have to return it to the store. I did order another one in white and it shipped perfectly and works great. My only complaint is it's a bit noisy, so if you're using it for your bedroom overnight, it may be too loud for that.

this very sleek and stylish but doesnt circulate air well at all.. it starts off nice then kicks into what SOUNDS like a higher speed and is worthless.. it gives little bits and pieces of air. not cool at all.. its even worthless when you turn it to a higher speed... but its cute.. thats about it.. Noise level is average.. i mean its not quiet but not super loud either..

This fan works great but has a warble sound created from the fan moving air. Im nite sure if its due to the flimsy plastic fan blade or what. Its not a vibration or anything. Its a sound that is created by the fan moving the air. It is rather annoying.

I've had this fan for a year now, and I don't really recommend it unless you are only looking for LIGHT airflow. It runs quietly, but even on max speed it doesn't put out much air at all. I stood in front of it on max and backed away from it, and at about six feet distance the airflow was almost nothing.
