Mainstays 16x20 Metallic Picture Frame, Brass

I replaced an old acrylic covered poster frame that kept dropping the poster on the floor with this one in 18x24. Has a much improved system for holding in poster. There is a hardboard backing and metal tabs that fold over it to hold it in place. One tip on installing: I suggest using a flat-blade screwdriver and some care when you fold up the tabs as the fit is tight. Even after carefully folding up each tab, I had to use a plastic spudger to coax the hardboard backing out of the frame. It helps to stand the frame up and lean it over so gravity helps the backing to come out. Mine was a tight fit, which is good for keeping out dust, but makes installation a tad more challenging. This will depend on how the backing was cut at the shop, where the slightest 1/32" difference can cause it to be tight. Overall quite happy with appearance, construction, and price. One suggestion for improvement is to use a less intrusive sample photo in the frame. As my poster is a European size, slightly narrower than standard 18x24, I needed to have a white backing around the edges. The supplied sample photo is too heavily covered to work without showing through a little. I ended up using the white backing from the old frame. Better to supply a plain white backing in 18x24.

I liked this frame, it's what I was looking for a large poster photo. Do be aware to use a soft cloth to wipe the plastic from dust particles. It will scratch if you use a paper towel .

Simple and clean look. Great size for the price! I love that the mat is included. I used quite a few of these to frame prints from a vintage book for my powder room. Great value option!

These frames look really nice and worked well for my needs. Easy to insert my poster, and hang. And they were a lot less expensive than others I found elsewhere.

The frame was perfect for my display. I liked everything it gave me, down to the clarity of my picture.

frame arrived packaged very nice, but had a lot of nicks on it like it has been used and returned. I did hang the frame and it dropped and one corner came apart..i would say that this doesnt withstand normal wear and tear or it was definitely refurbished
