Mainstays 1.7L Electric Kettle with Auto Shut-Off, White

Great value for everyday use! I bought this kettle a few weeks ago and it's been a game-changer for my morning routine. It heats water quickly and the auto shut-off feature gives me peace of mind no more worrying about forgetting it on! The 1.7L capacity is perfect for tea, coffee, or even prepping instant noodles. It's lightweight, easy to clean, and the clear water level indicator is super handy. My only minor gripe is that the exterior can get a bit warm, but for the price, it's hard to beat. I like the push button lid and that it snaps shut, I like the removable screen filter for easy cleaning, and I like the round connector on the base that makes it a lot easier to set the kettle back on it without having to get it positioned just right like our old one. Heats fast.

Look, I honestly bought this for my 15 year old, that refuses to read directions on anything. She thinks that whatever (Ramen mainly) can be cooked however way in the microwave, which usually ends exploding inside. (not literally exploding, I don't know how she does it) I can't praise this enough! I use it for more than Ramen of course, but I absolutely love the ease of use and easy set up.

heats really fast. shuts off automatically when it hits temperature. so if you want it to stay on and keep heated it does not but it heats so quickly you could just start it over again if needed

I use this for boiling water for my French press coffee and tea plus for cocoa I ran a test when it arrived cleaned out the inside dust ran two pots of water in it and another pot of water for my French press works great a very good item .Works great

Defective, on my first use the water kept leaking out. I turned it off and unplugged quickly before the water mess got too bad. I dried it off and just returned it the next day. I’m sure it may have just been just the one I have that was malfunctioning but I’m probably going to look into getting a different brand altogether because I don’t want to risk it again.

i received this keytle on Friday and used it Saturday and Sunday. Today, Monday, there are flakes of plastic coming off of the inside. I will be returning this for a metal kettle.

The entire inside the bottom is peeling. I noticed this the last few times I was pouring my tea or my hot water so I need to return this and I don’t want another one of this product.

I naïvely assumed all kettles were protected by stainless steel inside the kettle. Never did I ever think any electric kettles that boils water would be made of ALL PLASTIC. I HIGHLY SUGGEST NOT BOILING PLASTIC EVER AS A HUMUAN CONSUMPTION.

the kettle simply does have high enough wattage. My other kettle ( full to the max w water ) will boil in 2.5 to 3.0 minutes. this kettle half full takes 7-8 minutes to boil. Simply doesn't have enough wattage to boil water quickly. I am returning it to get a 1800 watt kettle.
