I ordered 8 of these. All came in fine. I would definitely reorder these in the future, though I do wish they had a white option, too. The way these work, in case it's not clear from the pictures, is like this: The whole thing is quite light, which I think is a good thing. There is a somewhat-thick cardboard backing that has both horizontal and vertical frame hook "teeth". So you can hang these on a wall in either portrait or landscape orientation. There is a clear sheet of (styrene?) that covers the picture you place between it and the cardboard backing. Finally, there are four black plastic c-shaped rectangular "strips", one for each side of the frame, that slide over the cardboard, picture and styrene. One tip that I came up with while putting in the pictures: The styrene sheet has a removable piece of plastic that covers most of that sheet. Some frames had this peel-off plastic layer initially on the outside and on others it was on the inside. No sweat. But if you to avoid dust or other particles on the picture, I peeled off the plastic and then used that now-exposed side as the side to put into contact with the photo. In other words, peel off the plastic and then use that side as the "inside" of the frame with the other side facing out. Overall: Obviously, these are not intended to be used in the Met and they are rather plain. But for home use where the goal is simply to "get the picture", this does the trick and with no worries about broken glass and no need for extra mounting gear, etc.
Love the frames. I needed at least 18 frames and when I went on line to Walmarts I was pleasantly surprised at the deal I got. Originally I thought it would cost me at least $160.00 for 18 frames but was able to get 3 ( 6 in a PKG. FOR 29.99 ) saving almost half. When they came they were packaged nicely and got them a few days from the day I ordered. Thank you so much...! I do an Elvis Tribute Artist contest for charity every year. A framed print will be my artists gift for attending!! Roberta
I truly felt the need to correct a few observation I gather from the reviews, even though a few customers rated the item very poorly others rated the item satisfactory to them...well my opinion of the item was quite good,it's to only be use as described for poster only,it's easy to mount only if you have patience for it.,another observation the sheer plastic that comes with the frame does not have any adhesive at all,you peel at that's it.it's also easy to place u poster like picture in it,then like a puzzle you insert you pieces together to form the frame and you hang up.....I was happy with the item and price just because I knew what I needed the frame for. Thank you.
I bought these online and had them shipped to my nearest Walmart (which happens to be a neighborhood market). This is a great service! The basic poster frame is just that, it is basic. Knowing that, I was pleased with what I received. The only problem I had was where the borders meet they wanted to separate, so on the backside I taped the vertical and horizontal frames to each other. Problem solved! Its a great value for the price and a pleasant transaction
This is the one you take of the edges and clip them back kind of frame. Knowing I shouldn't expect muchfor how much I pay for, but my frame's front covering came in chipped, disappointed. I again have to use some tape for my framing. I think walmart should have better packaging training. Having a huge box with more spacing is just giving more room for motion and break the product. Should have use a smaller box and better cushioning.
If you order these online, expect this product to be damaged. Overall this is a great deal...I ordered these for my sons play room to hang up some decor posters. Both plastic frames had cracks in them, luckily the framing was able to cover the cracks so it was minor. I read the reviews before I purchased these so I was already expecting the worst, however they look good hung up.
The frames were packaged well, and easy to place a poster in. The fact that they were packaged well leads me to believe that there are inherent defects in the manufacturing process. Both frames came with damaged acrylic. One had a visible crack in it, down near the bottom. The other had a piece actually missing from a corner. You couldn't see it, until you removed the black frame edges, to insert the poster. It was covered up again, once the poster was inside. There were also cloudy areas throughout the acrylic pieces that aren't so noticeable with the dark posters that I placed in them, but might be noticeable with lighter posters. I didn't bother returning them because, if there were issues with both, there are probably issues with all of these frames. Basically, they're a simple design that will hold a poster for a kid's room. They're the only plastic poster frames in this size that I could find anywhere. I think that the value would be good if the acrylic was of slightly better quality. Although not thrilled, I don't want to pay for expensive wooden frames for my kids' posters, so this is what is available.
You get what you pay for. It is an extremely basic poster frame, consisting of a cardboard backing, plastic sheet, and four detachable black frame pieces. When I received it, the plastic sheet had small dents all over it, creating very visible marks everywhere. I was able to request a replacement product, but this time, one corner of the plastic sheet was chipped and bent. Is the purchase of a product without flaws too much to ask for?
Purchase these for my son's posters, I didn't expected the highest quality, but they aren't even fair quality. The back board and plastic front don't fit tightly together leaving a gap and making the posters have 'waves' in it. I will be purchasing better quality frames, but these will due until then. Don't waste your money.
I don't think the quality can be any cheaper, it is so flimsy and every little move can knock the plastic sides loose and you have to do it all over again. Maybe this works with the very thin posters you can get for $5 but my thick poster wanted nothing to do with this frame. The corners never meet so you have this awkward gap between them. If you have posters that are good quality just spend the extra money because this frame is not even worth a dollar. It's just a big thin piece of cardboard, a thin sheet of plastic, and the 4 frame pieces. Going to roll my poster up and trash this.
