Mainstays 30oz Outdoor Citronella Candle, Sage Green

I was surprised, for the price it was much larger than anticipated. I also ordered the coils with terracotta pots, and 1 pot was broken and all the coils were broken. Should have just purchased 3-4 of these.

We spend most of our time outside in the yard and these candles have become a necessity. We use them, along with citronella incense and Thermacells, strategically placed around the yard. They have a solid citronella odor that works well to keep the skeeters at bay. The metal bucket makes a good storage container or craft project when you're done.They travel well too, if you're thinking about going camping, or to an outdoor gathering. The lid makes it easy to snuff out the candle and the handle is great for transporting it. I buy these every season.

This is really missing the citronella fragrance to me.It does burn slow which is nice.Didnt notice less bugs but will add more around next summer since I only bought 2 for this year.Not a bad size bucket and I used the cover for a tray under some bug coil set I had.As for the handle....DO NOT TRUST IT TO CARRY BY IF ANY HOT WAX IS MELTED.It fell off before I lit mine so I bent it a bit to hold but still not trusting to use to hang or carry!

These do actually work to keep mosquitoes away. They don't have a huge effective radius so I recommend you buy 2 or more and spread them around. I needed 2 for the 4 person seating area I used them in. They're pretty cheap compared to other brands. I wish the container was a little prettier but it's worth it for the price.

I have never tried purchasing one of these before so was disappointed that it won't stay lit. I guess it would be fine in an area that had some kind of enclosure like a covered pergola or plenty of trees to block the wind. It's a good size %26 I like how it smells.

I desperately needed something to get rid of the herds of mosquitoes this year. I am outside a lot, bird watching and playing with the dog. And I'm being eaten alive. So I got this candle because it was a large size, and it had 3 wicks. It smells good and seemed to repel the bugs. But even with multiple wicks, it did not burn evenly and I had to dismantle it, melt down the wax, add new wicks and re-make the candle because the wicks burned into the candle and no longer lit. The melted wax puddled and covered over the wicks. Very disappointed. I'm now using wide citronella/lemon grass incense sticks. They are about 12" long and about 1/2" wide incense sticks. They last. They work. I won't purchase this candle again. too much work.

I expected it to work more effectively. You have to sit within arm's reach to get any sort of repellent relief. I'll have to buy 3-4 more candles or seek other repellent products. I'm allergic to deet so any type of spray is useless. You can smell it but I guess I expected more.

Item is affordable but doesn't burn recently. at best, 1 wick will burn and the other two will burn out. Constantly needing to relight the wicks, although it still seems to be effective against bugs. I don't think the wax is quality because it poops around the wicks until it stufffs them out. There are walls of wax inside the bucket that haven't even been touched by flame and will honestly be wasted once the wax where the wicks are are burnt to the bottom of the bucket. Affordable, but not efficient. 🤷

the item itself is fine. its the care taken by the shopper when choosing the items. today i recrived an open pack of napkins and squashed lopsided outdoor candle. typically it wouldn't care too much about the candle but i am hosting a celebration of life for my mom who passed. a lot of family will be here and i bought these to place on the the tables during the evening...this is going to look real nice! come on...if you were shopping for yourself you WOULD NOT have selected this one. stop shopping in the damaged bin for pick up orders. everytime i order i get at least one item that looks like it was ran over in the parking lot, very disappointing 😞

Smells good but it seems to be more of a LURE for mosquitos not a repellant. GEEZ! MOre mosquitoes attacked me AFTER I lit this candle...smh The mosquitoes are LOVING the smell and are IMMUNE to it ! Terrible!
