Mainstays 4-Cup Measuring Cup

I love all the increments of measure on this cup! Awesome! What I didn't like was the length of time it took to get the Mainstays sticker off, the residue it left...finally used alcohol on a cotton ball to get it off.

If you want a really good measuring cup order this now! It may seem strange being so happy about a measuring cup but you will understand when you get it. It looks like This is an excellent measuring cup. Until you pick it up you would think it is glass but it is so light weight it is a pleasure to use. I'm glad I ordered two because they are microwave safe and also generous in size .

When you make a lot of double ham get helper you need 4 cups so this was so much easier to use 1 cup instead of 2.

Love the price and quality of the mainstays products. They are always high quality and prices are always a good deal. Like the fact you can put this in the microwave to melt butter when you are baking!

Working within my teen's diagnosises, this was a cost effective way to have his own dishes to help with portioning his food better and stop throwing so much away or being unable to finish what he played up.

The item is well marked. The capacity is good. BUT — The handle is only attached to the bowl with two very slim sides and is not attached in the middle. This makes it fragile and unable to support heavier liquids like pancake batter or gravy. I fear the handle will snap off and a big mess will spill all over.

DO NOT buy this. It is not even close to accurate. I have a set of Faberware measuring cups that go from 1/4 to 1 cup. They are usually my go-to but you sometimes need a bigger cup for 2-4 cup measurements for ease. My old large cup from the dollar store started to lose its measurements so I picked this up. I used it a few times for things like instant oatmeal/cream of wheat or instant potatoes maily. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong as stuff was ending up soupy. Yet when I used my Faberware it wasn't. So I used the Faberware cups to check this Mainstay cup. Instant oatmeal calls for 2/3's of a cup of water so I added 2 of the 1/3 cups from my little set and this Mainstays only showed 1/2 cup. So I got out the 1 cup and added that and again a significate difference only showed about 3/4 of a cup. Then I added 4 of the small set 1 cups to this and it only measured 3 1/3 cups. No wonder all my stuff was ending up soupy. I'll be returning this to the store sometime this week. Glad I used Walmart pay so I have the receipt in my app.

I only used this twice and after washing it this second time the cup got cloudy on the inside and no amount of cleaning can fix it. What a waste of money. I expect that is why it is cheap.

Not good quality.. everything tends to stick to this plastic.. not sure what kind of material was used, i should have bought glass to be safe .. i do not recommend it.

NOT DISHWASHER or MICROWAVE SAFE. I was using to heat up water for tea. didnt boil water but the cup cracked. dishwasher funished cracking the cup.
